I'm too far gone for those toys. But for those who think that Israel is a welfare state, one should ask Warren Buffet why he invested his billions, or why there are more than a hundred companies listed on the NYSE, NASDAQ, ASE, TSE, LSE and others. The last recession in Israel was in 2001-2002.

Many ignorant people write on this blog. Israel's economy was designed by the late Milton Friedman. The currency has been stable against the dollar for a very long time. No U.S. money is given to Israel as a handout whatsoever, except for joint military defense of the region.

To all of those that post anti-Semitic remarks, let me remind you that the U.S. has sphere of interests in almost every country on the globe. The U.S., for it's own interest reasons spends money in that country, as the U.S. sees fit. For example Israel, is a large producer of illicit narcotics (ecstacy). So the DEA has agents stationed there, just as DEA agents are stationed in 84 other countries. And if Israel receives military assistance, it's because the U.S. wants a stable ally that is a democracy, not a theocracy or a dictatorship. So make no mistake, the U.S does what it wants with it's money. It does so willingly and by committee. If you don't like your government, then change it, or move.
