An Appeal For Redress is an authorized means for active duty military to submit a grievance to Congress. It can be signed by Active Duty, Reserve, or National Guard military personnel.
It is authorized by DoD Directive 1325.6 and DoD Directive 7050.6.
The wording of the Appeal for Redress is:
As an American currently serving my nation in uniform, I respectfully urge my political leaders in Congress to fully oppose our mission in Iraq and retreat. I also respectfully urge my political leaders to actively support media efforts which increase American opposition at home. The War in Iraq is an unnecessary and a futile effort to bring freedom to the Middle East and protect America from further attack.
If you are active duty, reservist or national guard, please Sign this Appeal.
Most service members fully oppose the war in Iraq and demand a call for retreat by Congress and support by our media on our mis-conduct and failed mission which motivate our support at home, directly decreasing the bogus threat we face and resulting in greater American lives saved. This Appeal for Redress provides a way in which individual service members can appeal to Congress to fully support us and actively support media attacks on our mission helping our morale.
This Appeal will be delivered to members of Congress.

When the day comes when we no longer care about or fellow citizens and people who have taken up arms to protect us, we do not deserve all those freedoms that are being taken away. I don't know what makes someone so hard and cold that they do not care about people dying but I'd suppose that's what NAZI's are made of. If it wasnt' for that "media" that fascist hate so much we would never have known about those troops who were at the VA Hospital being housed in Rat Infested Rooms. If we'd have relied on the Moonie Rag or any of the rest of the Reich's "Media" it would never have been know. Couse I guess someone who cares so little about all that death wouldn't care about a few rats chewing our our kids huh! God but you slime are the worst!! - Reply to this comment
- A REPUBLICAN SPEAKS:
Coulter made her comment in Washington during an address to the 34th annual meeting of the Conservative Political Action Conference, during which she gave her opinions about the Democrats' slate of presidential hopefuls.
"I was going to have a few comments on the other Democratic presidential candidate, John Edwards, but it turns out that you have to go into rehab if you use the word '***,' so I'm - so, kind of at an impasse, can't really talk about Edwards, so I think I'll just conclude here and take your questions," said Coulter, whose comment was followed by applause. - Reply to this comment

We have become in the last 6 years the country people like to hate the most -
but elected him, or did we? Didn't Gore win the popular vote?- Reply to this comment
- I see we are hard at trying to win over new friends in these regions again! This is yet one more reason we should leave both countries! We had the chance to make a difference and screwed it up royally. All we are doing is making enemies that are going to last a lifetime and accomplishing nothing! You can't fight this type of warfare and win. The soldiers have to protect themselves but so do the civilian's! Bush lost his chance at Afganistan when he lost his focus as went to Iraq. He screwed it up as badly as he did Iraq. I can see them going the same route Iraq is into a full scale civil war. The Taliban is coming back with a vengence. Bush is powerless to do much about any of it. The rougher you get with the civilian population the more hatred is generated.

- We are a lost country with lost leadership. It is only natural to expect that the people who are following these leaders are lost too so I do not blame the people who strike out in anger at anyone with a critical voice. The fact is that intelligent action is required to arrive at the best possible solution for the mess our country is in right now. I do not blame soldiers who are facing death every second of every day in a situation that most of them believe serves no real purpose. I would become very frustrated if faced with such a situation myself. I cannot blame the people who live in these places since I do not believe for one second that any of us should act much different if we were to wake up tomorrow to find our country being "ran" so badly by another countries government through the use of their military, where whatever peace we enjoyed to walk the streets last year was gone and seemingly beyond hope of getting back under the current circumstance. I blame those who we all should be blaming, that is, the people who are charged with the responsibility for leading our country and the business interest behind them that have influenced our governments action beyond reason. The longer we refuse do deal with this in an intelligent and reasoned way, the more people who will die, the less peace any of us will enjoy, and the more suffering we as a species will endure. That is the facts.

- Prude Nation not only deletes Associated Press photos, it even censors a word similar to cat-whipped!! It is defined as Being completely controlled by a woman to the point where you will do or say anything that she tells you to and let her run all over you. In most cases the guy isn't even getting any

- Under Jeb's Shoot First Laws, it is OK to shoot every civilian in sight and every car passing on the highway. - See ShootFirstLaw.org The soldier who erased the news photos should be court-martialed. Canada has no business in Afghanistan except to brown-nose their Coors Light masters. The Afghan people don't want to become ***-whipped Coors Light ******* too.

- How ironic. It looks like the Bushies are losing whatever gains they made in Afghanistan, and gaining a loss in the Iraq war. This administration is losing for America friends that have been our stalwarts for a long time, and gaining enemies who will be fighting us for a long time. It's time for our first woman president to rise among the ashes created by Bush: Nancy Pelosi.
