Lars surely believes it even though common sense would dictate that if it were not a straightforward withdrawal from Iraq, the Brits would re-deploy to Baghdad.

lars008: I assume the Israeli/Palestinian conflict basically isn't about religous differences either? No doubt the Yugoslavian problems weren't about religion either! Just because Christian's (Eastern Orthodox) were killing Muslims! After all it's a whole lot more palatiable for Christian's to call it "ethnic cleansing" than it is what it is "religious cleansing"! More people have died over their religious believes than for any other reason in history.
