Time to move on.

Lars has decided to have a troll tantrum and is going to trash the board with meaningless, repetitive cut & paste vandalism.

Lars demonstrates the reason democracies fail in the long term. There are far more stupid people than there are intelligent people.

just like the dems did....
"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process." - Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998

"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real..." - Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003

"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force -- if necessary -- to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security." - Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9, 2002

"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line." - President Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998

"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program." - President Bill Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998

the war is legal

the resumption of hostilities was only a matter of time since iraq broke the ceasefire agreement.....

it was the continuation of gulf war one....

i guess that explains why clinton and the dems wanted to resume hostilities with iraq in 1998

Lars,

Politicians pandering to the Zionist lobby is meaningless and does not alter the fact initiating a war of aggression is a violation of international law.

The US invasion of Iraq was legally equivalent to Iraq's invasion of Kuwait.

George Bush is just as criminally liable as Saddam Hussein.

Bush bootlickers are equivalent to a Saddam loyalists in Iraq.

radiob-

It's surely possible. But the fact remains that these groups have hated each other for centuries and our presence will not stop it.

Iraq will continue to disentegrate until it is three sectarian states. The ethnic cleansing is already a reality. Millions of Iraqis have relocated to sectarian zones.

Lars,

If the UN Charter is not a legally binding treaty, by what authority did the US wage war on Iraq during the "Gulf War"?

Where can we find a US declaration of war against Iraq that authorized that effort?

And, if UN resolutions are legally meaningless, how is that the US/GOP uses them as a justification for invading and/or threatening other nations, including Iraq, Iran and Korea?

Or, does the "national sovereignty" argument not apply to any nation other than the US & Israel?

Do you realize how ignorant and/or illogical to the point of mental retardation you really are?

Here sarge think about this it would be a tactic that someone like Sadr would use.
Something to ponder, that some of these bombings, killings are Shiite on Shiite and Sunni on Sunni. Why? It serves a two-fold purpose, one being that it emboldens the sectarian division throughtout the country and two it elimiates any potential rival in a particular area be it domination of a "land" area or "commerce" area. This is more than likely not the overall trend of the bombings and killings however it is worth consideration. The usage of this to foment the overall theme of sectarian division is in itself a tool of propaganda that is easy to exercise in the eyes of the government of Iraq providing deeper inter governmental disruption amongst the differing elected sects. This does not seem unlikely the net result of these types of actions is deeper division in the government. Something to consider
