- I've seen the photos - it looks like him to me. He has the same haircut and even the cheekline of his beard matches. If it not him, then it was his double.

- To exusmcsgt: Sorry but I choose to believe the hostages that were held and saw him face to face....the ones that had to suffer the indignaties that he held them too.......too many of the hostages have stated for the record that he is the one that was leading the students.....I really trust them much more than the CIA....

You obviously chose to ignore the fact that the CIA itself stated within a week after Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's election as president that he was not a participant in the embassy take-over.

- I find it hard to fathom why so many on here are blind to several things in regards to Iran. Iran has more oil than it will ever use yet wants to build nuclear powerplants, with all the problems associated with them.....think 3 mile island. I seriously doubt that they will shut down all oil burning electrical producing plants for environmental reasons. And Irans president was also the leader that led the student revolt that took American diplomats hostage and destroyed our embassy, has also stated he believes that Isreal needs to be wiped off the face of the earth. Isreal will respond I'm sure if efforts to get Iran to back down fail and I don't think it can happen fast enough.
