Comments on: U.S. Will Confront Iran In Iraq, Bush Says
Effort Aimed At Reducing Tehran's Growing Influence Among Shiite Militias
- Bush acts more like a DICTATOR. Our US Constitution DEMANDS that the President listen to the people, which he is NOT doing. Time to IMPEACH this idiot of a President. You are hearing this from a retired US Army Vietnam Veteran.

Far too many people in this country don't know basic civics. They actually believe that the president has some sort of magical special powers, when in reality he's nothing more then our employee. He is a public servant who must do as he's told, but this administration has deified the presidency to the point where he's become almost king-like or dictator-like. This is extremely dangerous territory and a road that even Sandra Day O'Connor has warned us not to go down. - Reply to this comment

- Bush won't be happy until we are at a full blown war with Iran, with Syria following that. He is still drunk on the neocon fantasy that democracy will suddenly break out in the middle-east or that we're capable of just plain conquering the region. The scary part is that we could "win" a war with Iran and/or Syria, but only if we go with nuclear weapons. That would bring down condemnation from the entire world and history would record it as the blackest of times, with Bush the greatest mass murderer in history. Still I have no doubt that that sawed-off little Napoleon want-to-be is really insane enough to do it. In fact he is drooling at the chance to push that button. He's mad. Crazy.

- Hmmm ... now sleazy boy Bush is claiming up and down the press he is a great "decider". What does that mean ... with this administration it means that there is some Big Lie happening.
When Bush says something, it means the opposite is true. The harder he says it, the more true and more important is the opposite fact or the fact he is covering up. So what is Bush's sleaze team trying to cover up now? was it the Saudis who came up with the Iraq plan? Was it some corporate consulting firm? What is all the *** and smoke from Bush intended to hide this time?
The only thing we can conclude for sure is that Bush is not the "decider" , precisely because he and the press are insisting on it in the usual fashion. - Reply to this comment

- GOOD
If Iran's agents' can kill American troops, then those same troops should, by all means, have the right to defend themselves and shoot back.
When I was in combat in the 1990's during Clinton's war (Bosnia), believe me, I shot back at anything that was shooting at me.

- Yeah but bluestar those people you're talking about will never go enlist to fight in one themselves. They're all talk... they wouldn't even defend this country if it were invaded, they think it's ok for foreign countries to come into other countries and take over. They'd just accept it, probably join the chinese police force to try to suck up if there wasn't any danger in it, cause they're born and bred bootlickers...

- Blue Star Dad, none of this was ever about Osama Bin Forgotten, who is on the same team as the chimp. Nobody helps each other out like they do, without Dubya where would have bin laden have gotten his followers? He would have none, and without Bin Laden where would Dubya get his terrorists for his fake war on terror? You see they can't exist without each other, and they're family friends. Bin Laden is a CIA asset, his family Bin Laden Group builds US military bases in the middle east. They're well invested with Bushs father in our military industrial complex. Who's gettin rich off this ***... Bin Ladens and Bushies.

- To Further Elaborate my point my family have been in every war this country has fought. We have Gold Stars to prove it from riding in flaming B-29s instead of jumping after fighting the Japanese, South East Asia, to hand to hand combat in the mud huts and the deserts of Afghanistan where a turban now sits beside my Deer Horns above the Fire Place, and I don%u2019t care if the entire Middle East drowns in blood as long as it is not American blood or Tax dollars in it! If you glorify war and the need for it this just proves that you have not been there and are a liar of the worst sort!

- "beentheretoo" your experiences may convince you that the West should stay the course but spending hundreds of lives and billions of dollars on a strategy of failure doesn't make sense to me. Having been there what do you think we should do to resolve this conflict and democratize the middle east. Throwing lives and money at it doesn't work? How many boys or girls could get an education and a better start in life if the money was spent somewhere without the conflict (Africa, South America)? I'd love to see the Iraqi and Afgani people living in a democracy but do we do this at any cost? You say "a failure to pursue a policy of Democratization of the Middle East would be catastrophic", why? Tell us what you think will hapen. Provide examples from your experience. Don't use images of little boys and girls waving to US troops as an arguement for staying the course.

- Meanwhile President Bush disbands the Secret Unit Hunting Bin Laden and put in Afghanistan Jails all the Bounty Hunters who have been hunting Bin Laden, but he feels free to pull out the threat of the Boogie Man Bin Laden when ever it serves his purpose in an attempt to scare the American People into giving up Civil Liberties. The Slam Dunk, Mushroom Cloud Intelligence Chief gets a medal and Promoted to Civilian while the No Actionable Intelligence, National Security Director gets promoted to Secretary of State and Insults the Countries of Iraq and Syria so much that she cannot negotiate with them to stop the War in Iraq that the Bush Administration started upon False pretenses. Now the war cost 3 American Soldiers lives a day and two billion dollars a week has been so mismanaged that Bush is having a hard time finding Army Military Yes men to handle his blunders to the point of he has to promote a Navy person to oversee the two land wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Does anyone in America think we should not impeach this Administration at a minimum or worse?

- Karl Rove bad mouths to ruin everyone who is in opposition to The Texas Dictator or his policies. Rove keeps doing The Math but gets smoked in the November 7, 2006 Election and the Democrats retake the House and Senate. So while Bush Flew the family of Bin Laden out of America after 9/11 and did not hold Saudi Arabia Accountable for the 15 of the 19 Hijackers that Attacked America. American Vice President Cheney jumps on a plane at the beckon call of the House of Saud and kneels before the Leader of Saudi Arabia promising that America won%u2019t leave Iraq.
