Because you employ a "whatever Israel does is justified" mentality, doesn't mean that the rest of the world is also as blind.

I find it astounding that so many get so upset with Israel and those of us who consider her "home".Even on a blog,voicing my opinion,he wants me to meet his friend "Louie" ! WOW! No America is NOT the "butt-buddie of Israel,But we're bringing "democracy" to Iraq and we think that the only democracy in the middle east should give away half it's country to terrorists,while WE fight a "global war" on terrorism.Now THATS democracy! Unfortunatly, it sounds like the majority has decided that it's better to appease the arabs than to stand and do the right thing. But hey, at least we'll have gas in our cars,right?

Justify doing what Israel is planning to do to them??Whatever Israel does will be in self preservation,just like OUR pre-emtivly attacking Iraq.(which we shouldn't have as Iraq wasn't threatening to "wipe us off the map")

excusmcsgt.I don't know about wikipedia,but I do know middle-east history concerning Israel.The fact that most palestinians "today" call themselves palestinians doesn't change history.Mark Twain visited "palestine" in the 1800"s and wrote that the land was barren,desolate,almost devoid of inhabitants.the populations of jews and arabs in the land was about equal. Most of the arabs in the land today are decendants of arabs who moved there from other arab countries in the 30's and 40's seeking jobs because the jews that were imigrating to Israel ,along with the jews that lived there at the time,were draining swamps and building cities and farms.Just prior to and following ww11 approx 600,000 jews fled arab persecution in their homes in arab countries,some of which had been there sense 70 a.d. You never hear about that in the news. For the most part, Todays "palestinians" are desendents of arabs(approx.600,00) who fled Israel, at the behest of arab leaders,and were not allowed to become citizens of the arab countries surrounding Israel .Jordan being the exception.They were put into refugee camps built by the Arab countries, where their desecdents remain to this day,Ignored by the oil rich arab countries,except as political paws in the battle to rid the middle east of it's dreaded Jews.It is not Israel who is stealing the "palestinians" land
but the "palestinians who are trying to steal Israel,and almost 50 years of arab propaganda has convinced most that of the oppisite.

Well stated and agreed. I have often mused at the irony of condemning Al Qaeda as being barbaric for taking down two buildings full of non-combatants by a country who used nukes to obliterate two entire Japanese cities of non combatants.

Of couse Israel has nuke strike plans. Every nation that has nukes will have at least one contingency plan to use them in each various situation that's currently ongoing. No big surprise there.

But if Israel uses them, they may be playing right into Arab hands. What better way to justify their own nuclear weapons programs if they are victims of a nuke attack themselves? It strengthens Iran's argument that they need nuclear weapons to prevent countries from doing what Israel is planning to do to them. Plus, the political damage from using nukes is always going to be far greater than any objective you may achieve. As a former command of SAC once remarked, nuclear weapons are basically useless weapons. Their use will always put you in a worse position than you were without them.
