Of course Bush and Rumsfeld and most of the syndicated conservative talk radio hosts were absolutely correct when they almost simultaneously said recently that this isn't a civil war. No doubt about it...it's just a small, isolated little skirmish. No problem, really. Nothing to fuss about. I wish that the evil Liberal Media would stop reporting on only the BAD things happening in Iraq...I mean...these little sectarian spats are hardly even worth mentioning! Thank goodness we have such competent leadership in the White House!

It is so convenient to say that Bush invaded Iraq for a noble cause, and that is to dispose Saddam an bring democracy to that part of the world. If this is the reason, then there are lots of dictators and undemocratic nations that need freedom's intervention. Why Iraq? Oil and strategic defense of Israel, that's why! We can never overlook the fact that Saddam was used by the US during the Iran war. He was Uncle Sam's convenient pawn and was rewarded! The world sheds no tears for Saddam and sons, but he had Iraq under control and the place had a semblance of order. Look at it now! Bush precipitated a crisis beyond his mental capacity to manage and thousands die for his hubris and downright stupidity. The man and his gang is a menace and should be dealt with under international conventions and protocol. A starting point would be to begin the process of impeaching him.

Saddam at this point sounds like a puppy compared to the fanatics ruining Iraq. I will be honest I believe we went there for a good reason (wmd's or not) to dispose of a murderous dictator.

But,the shiites and sunnis are absolute lunatics given the opportunity, and we gave it to them. Who are we saving, the ones who want to work and come home and be with their family, well I am wondering where are they, it is time for them to make a sacrifice and rebel against these fanatics.

Bottom Line: This war in Iraq is not winnable without civilian casualty. War is not nice and either you are committed to winning with civilian casualty or you will not win.

I agree with you.The people who are really benifited from this war are those associated with OIL BUSINESS namely OIL-RICH ARABS and OIL COMPANIES in our own country.I don't know if BUSH has some association with OIL BUSINESS or not.As long as war is continued, the INCREASED OIL DEMAND and INSTABILITY in the MIDDLE EAST will keep the OIL PRICES high.

It is important to get out of Iraq - the sooner the better. Never should have been there in the first place.
Trying to hold onto it will only deplete resources that will be needed later and only result in MORE unnecessary deaths of US soldiers and innocent Iraqis.
No fear of Shia Empire as the Shias, Sunnis, and Kurds will fight amoung themselves for a long long time. Losing Vietnam did not result in the whole world becoming Communist - *the domino theory*, Osamas strategy is to destroy the US by getting it to spend itself to death - so far he is winning. Same lives, save money and GET OUT NOW and GET OFF DEPENDENCY ON FOREIGN OIL - like giving up those ridiculous gas guzzling SUVs

There is no way we can bring our troops back home.We are there for ever. That's for sure.If we bring our troops back home, then what was our purpose of invading IRAQ.TO HELP ISLAMIC RADICALS BUILDING AN EXTREMIST ISLAMIC EMPIRE based on the HATRED OF WEST by our TAX MONEY and OUR SOLDIERS LIVES.
Can you imagine how lucky the IRANIAN REGIME and BIN LADEN must be thinking about themselves who didn't have to shoot a single bullet or spend a single penny to remove a SECULAR DICTATOR who had prohibited building even ISLAMIC SCHOOLS called MADRASAHs during his rule.
