These people have nothing better to do than to regulate cell phone ring tones? What a sad state this earth would be in if these cave men ruled everyone. I wish them all the luck in the world meeting their maker, and the sooner the better.

Talk about micromanaging. Instead of ministering to the members of their community, visiting and providing guidance and comfort to the sick, the imprisoned, the poor, the disabled, the penitent, and the dying, the clerics yammer on about this. You think they would be glad to have good Muslims trying to remind themselves of the teachings of Mohammed and the writings in the Quoran. But no, they need to exert their petty vision of their religion on good people trying to be reverent and observant of their religion.

They may advise their adherents as they see fit. I expect that the clerics at the Dar-ul Uloom seminary in the northern Indian town of Deoband, (280 miles northwest of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh state), expect their students to comply.

Great marketing idea! Maybe we need some Christian message ringtones! Imagine snuggling up with a date only to hear your phone chime in with a hearty:

"1 John 3:4! Sin is transgression of the law of God!". That would sure douse the flames.

I wonder which verses Christians would choose for their ringtones? Old Testament verses for the Baptists, Corinthians for Fred Phelps and his "God Hates ***" Church....
