Sorry it was not mr. bush who astarnished the image of this country but the news media and the democrats are the ones who really deserve the credit for the U.S. image. They are alwyas devisive and hypocritical. I only hope the Hypocrits fix the damge they have done to the United states of america.

so the damage is done now---let them fix it. However, I have no intention of helping them by being civil or supportive. That will be a COLD DAY IN HELL before that happens. Whats good for the goose is good for the gander!

CBSCOMMENTS____oh---now the democrats want to show concern and safety for america? Too late---they have already done the damage to america by dividing america and spreading hate for our president like a disease throughout the world and making us look weak. That was a nice try though.

It is amazing to see our journalists posting comments from anti-american figures, that don't even live in our country, as if what they say is accurate and authoritative. The media focuses primarily on the negative about what the Bush administration is trying to do, and always has. though I don't agree with everything that the Bush administration has done or is trying to do (mainly the idea of trying to change Iraq's ideology by force), though getting that dictator out of power was a wonderful thing for iraq and the world. Allowing any evil person to continue in his evil ways is just like giving them the tools to carry out their evil intent. But anyway, rather than trying to strengthen what we still have, the media works against that by attacking our president and esablished government. The reason America didn't callaps after the Civil War was because of the dignity of the North in honoring the South when they surrendered, and did not humiliate them, or try to degrade them. But they realized that if the country were to rebuild itself, they need to act with humility and honor. Many countries remained in civil war for hundreds of years because of pride and selfish intent.
The democrats have the congress now, now let them show humilty and concern for the safety of our counrty. We are quickly loosing what the forefathers of this country have spild their sweat and blood in forming this country. Let us not lose it, but rather preserve it and rebuild it under God.

president bush is nothing but a smart ***. have u ever noticed when he speaks, how he'll wink his eye with a neaky grin behind it to the person he looked at. he is more upset now with the votes, cause the republicans lost most seats, than when the planes flew into the world trade center.

Thank you God for having heard our prayers to get rid of the corrupt republican rubber stamps of the corrupt president Bush. Thank you. Thank you. All of you who think Democrats will not do a lot lot lot better job are morons. Democrats have finally put the brakes on a runaway neocon party who thinks only about rich powerful people and rewards them every time they can. We have put the brakes on the republicans ability to make sure that no charges are filed for the wrongdoing of the corporations that have been chosen with no bid contracts to rob the american people of millions of dollars. We have finally got a chance to find out just how corrupt the Bush administration is.

Ok, evidently my last comment did not go through, but whatever. Ok so I only fot a few things to say. 1. lauraleemoo, you are right 100% correct. 2 is that what happened to the United States of America? we used ot be proud of our president, not ashamed, when someone complained we shook it off instead of listening and then turning against him.3 is that the democrats just committed political suicide, especialy when all of their "great" answers are wrong. This country will regret its decision, to put democrats in as the house and senate owners. Bush will be forced to pull out all the troops, and we will face another 9/11, just like what happened the first time we were in the middle east. and last, where is the nationalism of the 1700's 1800's and early 1900's? that is what will cause this county to fall, the lack of nationalism, and that ALONE!!
