Ahmadinejad's Remarks Come As Israel Says Tehran Will Have 'A Price To Pay' For Nuclear Ambitions

I've said before,I don't care at all who is a jew, christian, muslims, hindus or budhists.I am an American who firmly believes in the constitution of USA which forbids the involvement of religion into politics by separating church from state at the same time give people freedom to practice their religion which simply means that religion is a personal private matter.I am not talking against jews at all.I am talking aginst those EUROPEANS who were brought from different EUROPEAN COUNTRIES into Palestine after WWII to occupy their land by force.Just like I don't care about race of any American at all,all my fellow Americans are Americans irrespective of their race.Same way I don't care about the race of those EUROPEANS who were brought from different EUROPEAN countries into Plaestine after WWII to occupy their land by force. When it comes to the policies of USA,I won't care what Bible says or what Koran says or torah says.I'll care about what benifits USA and it's people and what hurts them. What benifits us is the OIL we get in cheaper prices from Arabs and what hurt us is to support their enemies on the cost of our own money and our own lives because of the RACIST ideology that human beings have not being created equally. - Reply to this comment
- It does'nt matter what Ahmadinejad say's he has no power in Iran he is just a figure head the Ayatollahs hold the power in Iran and the so called president is just a mouth peace for islam and the palestinians. And as far as Israel dissapearing or being blown off the face of the earth not going to happen in my lifetime. The USA and our allies And I mean all of our so called allies need to just come together and deal with this idiot in calm and effective manner. Iran is still a nuke free zone as far weapons are concerned so why should we nuke them as some have suggested. This adminstration seemingly is intent on war with Iran but the armed forces of this country are streched to there limits and therefor I don't think Bush is going to get his way in that respect. The UN is a joke he was right about that but at least it is a starting point.

- isnt it time for somebody to recognize that certain leaders are not capable of operating at an international level. These leaders need to be removed from the big-boy table and replaced by those who can play well with others. The world today is to small for this rhetoric to continue. It seems like leaders today have lacked the backbone to put these anomalies back in their deserved place - history.
We need realistic and constructive leaders in place. - Reply to this comment
- Every time I hear about these threats imposed by the states of Iran and North Korea, the more I wonder why any responsible military strategist believes in staying the course in Iraq. That war is destroying our military capability, and should these nations decide to use their military capability, to say nothing about the nukes, how would we be able to do anything about it?! Why did we even invade Iraq when it so obviously makes our military weaker against an Islamic fundamentalist government like Iran. We need to withdraw our troops so that we can be prepared, and not be a paper lion.

It seems to me that our president is the bully on the school ground. Isn't he the one who started a war with a country that had nothing whatsoever to do with the planes hitting the towers, Pentgon, or Pennsylvania field?
If I were leader of one of the other "Axis of Terror" countries, I would probably be pretty upset and anxious to let him know I wasn't going to let him run over my country! Something to think about, huh? - Reply to this comment
- Well, I tend to believe in the guys from the Enlightnment period. they believed that all governments ruled at the consent of the governed.
Jefferson was guy who put those ideas into practice with the Declaration and Constitution. It worked for us, though others like Maos " point of the gun" theory seemed to be able to sell their ideaology.
I don't recommend, nuking anybody. Opening the nuclear box again this point risk resurfacing the whole globe, not just the Middle East.
I hope the barn door stays closed especially since Prez Lincoln's dead and couldn't pick up the pieces.
If we stay strong and true to the beliefs that helped us through past crisis hopefully we'll get through this one.
My first wish is to see this plague of mankind, war, banished from the earth.

- Yada, yada, yada. Just another instance of a megalomaniac, Cuba, North Korea, Venezuela, Peru,
et al. That these third world countries try to make their mark in the big picture is absurd.
May it be a smokescreen in order to gain economic help from the U.S and others?
Whatever, it is dangerous talk and could evolve into a worse scenario for them. - Reply to this comment
- I don't think Israel has much to worry about. Based on various intelligence sources, they are already a nuclear state- albeit undeclared. As early as the Six Day War, they were ready and ABLE to defend themselves with nuclear arms to defend their right to exist. If Saddam had done more than send SCUD missiles with conventional warheads during the last Gulf War, we might have gotten a glimpse of their true capability. Fortunately, for the rest of the free world, they've exercised the utmost of discretion and opted to utilise conventional weapons. If they're ever pushed to the point that they have to tap their nuclear arsenal, it will definitely be Armegeddon- for them and the rest of civilisation.

- Peace is just a pipe dream!! Mankind is not capable of making peace. Look at the world today and tell me different.

- Peace is definitely the way to go. I really hope diplomacy works. The Amish rock, but aren't perfect Christians. They cruelly shun those who don't go along with their beliefs.

I'm not scared of a war with them. Just tired of idiots picking fights with the United States. And not looking forward to the pain it will cause if we have to take care of things by force.
I hope the barn door stays closed. But constantly backing down from tyranny will just make things worse.
The current Administration is pretty incompetent. But I've met enough of my neighbors to know that their are some trully gifted Americans among us at this very moment. The cream has not risen to D.C.
Hopefully, Ms. Rice will be good enough to get this smoothed over. I guess I'm just feeling pessimism on one hand, but also a certain growing deep down sense of resolve.

- The people if Iran are "responsible" for Ahmadinejad like we're "directly" responsible for Bush? Well if that isn't an excuse for murdering millions of innocent Iranians I don't know what is.
And if we do to Iran what we did to Iraq but with nuclear weapons then that's what all you saber rattling yahoos are advocating. But you know that, don't you?
Not one person has responded to the fact that the HEADLINE OF THIS ARTICLE MISSTATES WHAT AHMADINEJAD SAID AND THAT HE DIDN'T THREATEN ANYBODY.

Dam@ thats good, you are wasting your time here dragonmaster, you could write for the Tonight Show and make some money with that stuff.

- I wonder what the course of events in the Middle East would be today if Mr Bush had only taken the time to study Middle East history before he decided to impose Western ideas on a people who have no value on their own or other's lives. I sure hope he gets a tutor before he blunders into another fiasco. Hubris and ignorance are two dangerous things expecially when they are combined in a position of power. Now that the *** has been cleared away it is obvious that we have been scamed. I wonder if Israel would be so agressive if we had not armed them in a way that they became a threat to the region.

- Why haven't we sent in a Hit squad to deal with this guy?? Maybe we should start an organization to collect money to offer a reward for his head on a platter!!

- It is so sad that people in the world cannot get along. It doesn't matter to me what race, color, religeon or creed one is, opinions are just what they are "opinions", everyone has one. It saddens me that we have to scare, hurt, scar, mame or murder in order to get what we want, sounds like a child trying to get his/her way. I think, and I've been told I shouldn't do much of it because I could hurt myself, but still I think that everything is done for a reason and a purpose. War is all about power and money. The almighty is the "DOLLAR"! When it's all said and done, it was all about money and power, and the man with the most money wins. I hate these kind of games and try to discourage my children from participating in fights and yet between Country's we live it. We now know what this world is coming to. I honestly don't know how the Amish do it, I applaud them.

- Ahmadinejad's comments may not be exact. But if you consider Iran's past behavior with their support for the recent Hezbollah-initiated war against Israel those comments definitely point in one direction. And Ahmadinejad knows Americans know that, unless he's a fool.
It seems like there is a lot of rationalizing going on among American's in response to this story.
I hope diplomacy works. But discussing the aspects of Middel-East history doesn't seem very practical at this point. Or blaming ourselves for creating this violent era.
Who cares? I care about the security of myself, my family, and my fellow Americans. Right now. And I don't want to live anymore in an age ruled by terrorism. It needs to end--NOW.
As for Americans causing all these problems. We took part. But ultimately the people of Iran are responsible for what happens in Iran. They had one revolution, and could do it again.
I am directly responsible for putting George Bush in office. Iranians are responsible for giving aide and comfort to their president. We're responsible for our idiot.
Stop all this whining. - Reply to this comment
