Only if your point is that you are a bellicose shrew. Maybe somebody takes a few minutes to type a response, did you think of that? In the time it took for me to frame my response you post three or four taunts. Are you drunk? - Reply to this comment

American Citizens can be declared enemy combatants under the recently passed legislation, and can be held indefinitely without recourse. If the government says you're a terrorist, that's it, they can put you away for as long as you like, without a trial. For all of the years that there has been an America, a citizen accused of a crime has the right to confront his accusers and a presumption of innocence, and that is no longer guarantees.
This is classic dictator stuff. Governments have used these kind of laws for centuries to suppress dissent, and now, the congress has removed these guarantees, barring a court challenge.
Maybe you think this is a good idea, but it is a unquestionably a civil right that has been eroded.
Maybeyou think this is a good. - Reply to this comment

- huskerarmy- good post. how can Clinton help at this point? The only thing I can think of is he had an excellent relationship with China. He could get them on board, but they may well help anyway because these nukes are right outside their door and no one wants Chernobyl all along their coast.

- Yoo hoo, calling all liberals...Can anyone out there help huskerarmy out? I mean, I can't tell you how many hundreds of times I've heard the liberals screaming about how our civil rights are being taken away----but have never actually heard NOT ONE example of how. How about it---any takers on this one. Yeah....I didn't think so.

- "Once again, North Korea has defied the will of the international community, and the international community will respond."
Mr. Bush defied the will of the international community no less than a dozen times leading up to his war for oil in Iraq. He has no more credibility with the world community. We will need another world leader to step up as the world community simply will not rally around this third rate American president. I see a role for Bill Clinton in this. - Reply to this comment
- Here's the score: We are confronted with exactly the situation that we were supposedly invade Iraq to prevent, although there was no threat, but because we are up to elbows in Iraq we are going to be dealing with dealing withthem from a weaened position. It's not about liberals. It's not about conservatives. It's about incompetence acting without oversight.

- laurieleemoo,
These grand solutions you have... have you shared them with Mr. Bush? Seeing that polls consistantly demonstrate that the more educated people are the more liberal they tend to be, perhaps those circles you run around your debate partners are in your head. Can you provide an example of "liberal rhettoric that is designed to undermine the American government?" The Bill of Rights perhaps? - Reply to this comment
- "Yes, I am a loyal GOP and a Loyal AMERICAN--unlike a lot of liberals I know. Heck----I'm not sure why any of my liberal friends are even living here.. all they know how to do is constantly try to undermine the American government with their CONTINUOUS RHETORIC. All I know is that I ALWAYS run circles around them in debates as they tend to argue only with complaints and never come up with any solutions. In fact---3/4 of them don't even keep up with current events on a regular basis---they seem to always jump in some where in the middle and get lost

You don't have to convince me that your liberal friends are idiots; just the fact that they're your friends makes your case for you. - Reply to this comment
- Delivering a statement at the White House, Mr. Bush said, "Once again, North Korea has defied the will of the international community, and the international community will respond."
Uh, NO George; you, the US nor anyone else will "respond". Everybody told them NOT to enter the DMZ - they do. Everybody told them NOT to test fire missil's - they did. Everybody told them don't even think about nuke technology let alone test one - they did. THEY GOT IT GEORGE!!! One would think US gov't would get tired of getting slapped & leave thing's alone before it really get's beat up. Well, playing "devil's advocate", maybe it's a good thing; now maybe someone ELSE can keep the US (& it's nuke's etc.)in check. ??? It doesnt take a genious to see where this one is going if everybody keep's pushing them. - Reply to this comment

- Don't equate loyalty to America with loyalty to Bush's ideas. It is one thing to be a repub. another to be a republican zombie.
