U.N. Considering U.S. Draft With Tough Sanctions After Reported Nuke Test
- "...imagine these Dems wiretapping your GOP friends to learn everything about their election strategies, schedules, etc. They would be there at every turn with a better idea, maybe even the GOP idea before they have a chance to release it. It would be very hard for those Dems to loose an election with that kind of advantage."
I'm disappointed that Lauriemoo never got around to addressing this scenario for me. Oh well, I guess I'll just remain a misguided player in the liberal academic, media, union, special interest, minority interest, gay agenda, conspiracy. - Reply to this comment
- In his ruling declaring warrantless wiretaps unconstitutional, Judge Taylor said the following:
... the perceived need for secrecy has apparently required that no person be notified that he is aggrieved by the activity, and there have been no prosecutions, no requests for extensions or retroactive approvals of warrants, no victim in America would be given standing to challenge this or any other unconstitutional activity, according the the Government. The activity has been acknowledged, nevertheless.
If you don%u2019t know you are being taped, you have no standing to challenge it. That%u2019s why it may be hard to give nutjobs like we%u2019ve seen here today the evidence they require. We should all be very afraid. The righties have gone completely mad! - Reply to this comment

By the way---I don't have anything to hide---DO YOU---well then what are you so worried about.

OHNONONONO! It's the law, now. Maybe it won't be the law after a court test, but right now it is the law, and that's a fact.
This is how you debate circles around your liberal friends? Convoluted logic like this?
laurieleemoo, I don't know if you keep up with current events, but the Republican party is about to get its rear end handed to it, and making an obnoxious internet spectacle of yourself isn't going to change that.

- "Okay---now huskerarmy---lets here ONE, even one civil right you have had taken from you???????? whats the matter....cat got your tongue!"
There is far too much to discuss here. But let's discuss warrantless wire taps for an example. I know you love this as long it's the GOP doing it. But since you hate Dem's, let's look at an alternate scenario. Imagine Dems held the White House, both houses of Congress, the Supreme Court and Federal Judiciary. Now, if you believe that "power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely," imagine these Dems wiretapping your GOP friends to learn everything about their election strategies, schedules, etc. They would be there at every turn with a better idea, maybe even the GOP idea before they have a chance to release it. It would be very hard for those Dems to loose an election with that kind of advantage.
