- Sometimes the truth hurts, I don't think Bush is the devil I just think he's seriously really NUTS! He IS trying to run the world, he could care less what you or I think or anyone else. He's gone off the deep end of his power trip. I believe we will not see any turn around until years after he is gone. It's going to take a long time for people to trust us again and know not everyone in the US is sitting on go to attack you if you don't DO AS YOUR TOLD like Bush does. He's a sick man, I can't wait to get him out..R or D doesn't matter anyone from any party!!

- jh6379, well hopefully you won't be able to do that for long. Venezuelen oil may be a thing of the past if most Americans have there way.

- Complete rhetoric. This guy is only show-boating for the media in order to gain public attention. He is a complete hypocrit and his idle threats are meaningless. The American public has displayed time and again that they are willing to pay increased costs to safe guard our freedoms. It would be nice to eliminate our dependancy on foreign oil, but when it come right down to it, the American majority would proudly pay an additional 11-15 cents per gallon if it meant keeping this guy in his corner. Chavez' real threat is to his own people who would suffer much more by losing all those American oil dollars and the other trade sanctions we would be forced to impose. A complete idiot!

- Spineless Americans should thank Chavez for waking us up from our continued slumber to realize just how the US is increasingly being perceived around the world.
The world is much bigger than the US can patrol.
We need allies, and not to needlessly do 'regime changes' and create enemies as is the case with Venezuela.
We are still unable to locate a couple of 911 maniac muslims in Pakistan.
One would have thought that bringing those insane islamists to justice from Pakistan would be the priority over 'regime change' in relatively harmless Venezuela.
But bullies do prefer those who appear harmless.
North Korea isn't to be messed with a 'regime change'. LOL - Reply to this comment

- Choose to believe it or not, freemasonery runs America, and Noam Chomsky's book is further evidence of American/Freemason cravings to run the entire world. America want to govern the world.
Muslim's are the most non comliant peoples, they will not allow anyone to create a society where muslims are more interested in drugs, womanisaing and alcohol, so that they can be as passive and unobservant as America and Europe is. Why? Because they do not allow innovation in their religion.
This is the beginning, 9-11 had to be executed so the process could start, one way or another America had to begin to spread its sphere of influence on to the muslims, and the masonic goal of global governance is most difficult in muslim territory. How are they going to achieve it in Mecca, or Medina?Through much more bloodshed is the answer.its a problem. We are just at the beginning, political manipulation along with eloquent justification by our jewish media will ensure we remain passive.Unfortunatley what goes around come around, just like it did with the Jewish people having been victimised they by he grace of God are all-powerful today. This is our last stunt. - Reply to this comment
- This Chavez guy is another radical. There is no truth to any of his rhetoric, he only uses anti-american sentiment to inflame the populations to support his radicalization of what was once a peaceloving nation.
Chavez is accumulating his own coalition with nations like Cuba to justify his actions. Congress should ban as much business as it can with this dictator. Give the dog what he wants, enough rope to hang himself. - Reply to this comment

- Bush should tell this clown to take his oil and stuff it. He needs us a whole lot more than we need him. I'd be more than happy to pay an extra .11 per gallon so we don't continue to fill that idiots coffers.

- He is a third rate politician thats all mouth and no substance. He has more than his share of problems in his own country. But with all his retoric belittling USA, the poor, ignorant people in his on country can be led around by the nose. It will bite him in the butt when they finally realize that they are still living in adject poverty. He must have a market for his oil and we buy a lot of it.

- Just a quick note to see why Chaves is not confronted with this topic.
Instead of meddling with our citizens in our soil %u2013 why doesn%u2019t he deal with the poor and impoverished that live around the capital of Venezuela called Los %u201CRanchitos%u201D as well as all the poor I saw as I traveled through Venezuela several years ago that voted for him and yet they are still jobless and starving.

Mr. Chavez,
You apparently like to be seen and noticed as Catholic with your sign of the Cross before speaking but it tells me you are nothing but the POT calling the KETTLE BLACK. May the Lord enlighten and have Mercy on YOU.

- To ontheprarie re: Why did he sit for 20 minutes with a group of school children when he could have set the example that he expected of millions of other Americans - to rise to meet the needs of America?
The president was ordered by the secret service to stay where he was, not to move and to await further information.......its standard procedure to protect the president. You've been paying way too much attention to that liar Michael Moore - Reply to this comment
- What is more terroristic than the Venezualens not having the right of free speech in their country?
americans thinking that their media influenced garble is free speech. - Reply to this comment
- According to Venezualen President Chavez, what the world is doing is waking up.
Maybe the world and the US realizes that it is not going to be so tolerant or gracious with a US president who mostly symbolizes - 'Hey, I can change, so can you!'
Poor guy has been "on the wagon" for some time as a sacrifice for us and sacrifice for democratic reform, but possibly what it really takes is a little more professionalism, readiness, graciousness and partnership than following someone whose sights are publicly repentant but who is not really leadership quality? A person can't just keep their eyes on their God without being with the people too. - Reply to this comment
- I dont think the US nor the world has time to wait for the Venezualan president, nor Iran, Iraq, nor Bush to wake up. The US must keep her course. The US is defending her own democracy, roots and graciousness. The US didnt become what it is by embracing tolerance of terrorists and insurgents.
What is more terroristic than the Venezualens not having the right of free speech in their country?
In the US, terrorism should be considered a crime warranting the hunting of criminals, not a war hunting the enemy. Why give them that benefit?
As little as 5 years ago, the world was batting it's flirting eye lashes and leaning toward the US's democratic freedom. freedom is not free. Freedom comes thru one's discipline.
Bush fights his own war against alcoholism. He's free thru his discipline. - Reply to this comment
