- This is very, very sad news. Mr. Dow was among the last of the classy, responsible, reliable investigative journalists. I know that I will miss seeing him and I can only imagine what the family is going through. I offer condolences with all of my heart. Peace be with you Mr. Dow.

- How does CBS or anyone else know that he died "suddenly?" Did they have a team standing by and timing him? Or do they mean he died unexpectedly?

- For some reason this news story, and others, are leaving out what happened to him. Apparently he had a severe asthma attack and died at the hospital.

- A beloved man has passed away and your only concern is if he died "suddenly" or "unepectedly"? The article stated he died of an asthama attack in his car while behind the wheel. An inhaler was found on the floor of his vehicle. What more do you need to know?

- The original article didn't state that. First reports said he died in his sleep at home. So yes, when I originally posted my comment, saying he died "suddenly" didn't make any sense unless the person reporting it had witnessed his death. Otherwise, saying he died "unexpectedly" would've been more appropriate. You know, for professional journalists who use words for a living.

- I agree what a classy guy he seemed to be on his job. What a shame. The best to his family. I still say the baby boomers will not live anywhere near as long as the greatest generation. I think our level of stress every day dealing with the modern world has torpedoed our health. I was 42 when I was diagnosed with cancer. Nobody in my family ever got sick so young. I have recently done a family tree and many lived into their 80s.

- What a shock! He was such a good communicator and I especially liked the stories he did for 48 hours. He had such class, not like some of the news people these days. Goodbye, Harold.
