This is the silliest story I've ever read. The jury should be kicked in their collective rear ends.
The other woman did not ruin her marriage. Her jacka$$ husband did!

They both did. They both should pay but I'm glad she got the settlement she did. Maybe more wandering spouses will think before they act.

Yes she did. If the woman would not accept man's advanses the man would back off. But she liked it and wanted this man regardless that he was married. Let me tell you my story. I am 64 years old and my husband is 71 years old. Last week my husband and I went to Clear Choice for me to have dental implants. I applied for financing and my husband was the borrower. In application my husband declared his income for the last year. When the lady from the financing saw how much my husband earned last year was blew out of her boots. She started talking and laughing like a **** and had her eyes on my husband. Before we left she give me Clear Choice business card, and her personal Business Card for my husband. When we left she came to me to hug me, and went to my husband and hugged him kipping him tight to her chest kissed him and said something to his ear. Since then we dont't talk anymore, and my husband is thinking of separation. After almost 46 years of marriage we will separate and more than probably we will divorce. I am a diabetic and I have accute arthritis, I don't have any income and if we separate I will not have insurance. So why the woman is not guilty of anything? They are both guilty.

Probably just like stories I've read where the wife supports the husband while he's getting his degree be it lawyer or doctor, etc. Then when he's making the bucks he decides she's not good enough anymore.

The ruling does send a message, but exactly what message is it sending? I don't understand why the man isn't being punished, after all, he broke his marital vows, when he decided to go outside of his marriage, and had an affair with another woman. Something is definitely wrong with this picture. Why isn't he being punished in some way?

IF SHE HAS TO PAY UP IT WILL NOT MAKE HIM HAPPY. SHE WILL REMIND HIM DAILY. She knew he was married they are both in the wrong, and a vow of marriage should not be broken unless both parties agree to a divorce then he can slither all he wants.

seriously- is the man just a second thought in all of this? He was the only one who knew the truth. Suing the other woman for ruining your marriage is like showing up on Jerry Springer and pulling her hair, it's immature and fails to put the responsibility where it rightly belongs- on the man!

If she loses all she has I bet she will think twice before talking to another married man

Susan.
The man and woman to be married takes vows as one..They become Mr and Mrs John Doe. They are married and so dating.etc ends when the vows are taken. The man knew he was married and did not step up to the plate and told the lady the truth..So the ex husband should have been sued as well as he broke their vows.

You don't know the facts.

The other woman may have been syphoning off financial resources that are the property of the abandoned wife and their children.

Marriage is also a civil contract that must be respected.

They should both be sued. Period. If anyone thinks going after a married person is ok, needs to have their head examined. If anyone thinks cheating on their spouse (or divorce as an option) is ok, should never get married. Marriage was supposed to be a covenant-union... not a free for all. Besides why would a single person go after someone who's married? Singles in short supply? Don't want to spend the time nurturing your own loving relationship? gotta take someone who's already broken in? Can you say "dysfunctional"?
