While the "puffer machines" or sniffer dogs might have detected the PETN strapped to the guys leg, they would have had no chance if it was carried aboard in a condom up his rectum. And what about a real terrorist that could get his hands on C4 or Semtex?
So another would-be suicide bomber who didn't quite make the grade. Why come out of the toilet? Did he want to be stopped?

For many years the State Department has issued travel advisories against going to Nigeria. Anyone with an e-mail address has certainly gotten many Nigerian scheme scam mails. I've many times seen signs posted in airports with International conenctions that state that the Nigerian airports are considered unsafe. So to sit here and claim that the US is at fault here is rediculous. Clearly the problem is at the Amsterdam airport.
There's been no reason to suspect the Dutch of having lax security before - but clearly they have violated that trust, and until they can prove that they are properly scanning for terrorists, then the US should treat planes coming from Amsterdam the same as it would treat planes coming from Nigeria.
They should take these type of people, shove a plastic explosive in his butt, drop him in pig fat than lite the fuse. Muslims would get the idea real quick. However, we have a president that coddles these type.
The problem with the airlines is you can check through a airport that has little or lacks security and then fly from one airport to another without being checked because your staying within there boundaries so you don't have to go through all security check points and some are more thorough than others.
Now just think if the Media and President Bush had paid attention to the Bin Laden memo that Bin Laden would attack the US with plans. Now this rich young man is right out the TV show 24. He's rich, educated and stupid and he could have just as well been white. Now this man's Father will pay all the US official to get his son the insanity defense as you know our Lawyers, Judges and even Law Makers can always be bribed as we're seen over 8 years. It's money and this Family has it to give out. A Judge will cooperate for 1 million dollars in his pocket. This man had nothing to do with Al Queada or Taliban he's a misguided kid by some small group. But our GOP and Media love to push the propaganda then put the truth on the last page in small print. Thank goodness we now have a smart President name Obama because this would be as the GOP ask a pre emptive attack and later fine out we were wrong.
Obama couldn't tell the difference between a terrorist and an 80 year old lady. I have no allegiance to either party, but Obama is the biggest joke since Carter. He isn't fit to be POTUS.
