Aside from the dreadful crime of setting a person on fire, which my fellow readers have already commented well about, there seems to be a lesson here for homeless people: don't sleep exposed in public. HIDE. In bushes, in a cave, somewhere where these criminals won't find you.
When it comes to these lower than human excrement things,we need to look at the old testament again. A tooth for a tooth. If you hurt or kill someone, you get the same,in the same way without a 10 year waiting period.
The perpetuator of this crime deserves a very harsh sentence, but outta be let off hook by simply being dispatched quickly (like a rabid dog) and disposed of promptly.
If they apprehend the doer of this insane deed, I suspect he will receive a light sentence, perhaps asked to do a bit of community service instead of serving a prison sentence of six months or so. It might be time for the regulation of matches, a ban on rubbing alcohol may not be the answer.
Don't listen to Mathion, the liberal twitt. You're absolutely correct in your sarcastic post, pointing out the idiocy of knee-jerk banning cries by these twits.
@ MATHION,I am not an NRA fan but I do believe in a person being able to own a gun. What you purpose is fine for all law abiding citizens, but we all know the criminals will not obey the law. Is there a right solution? I don't know. But I do know this. There are a lot of items with the intended use for one or several things but are used in ways they were not meant for like the rubbing alcohol. Cell phones are not meant to be used while driving, but millions do it everyday. Although I haven't looked it up,I'm sure hundreds of people are hurt or killed everyday because of it. But cell phones are not banned. You can take assault weapons,semi-auto weapons or any other away from the law abiding citizen, but criminals will always find a way to get them and there is nothing that can be done to change that.
Mathion, you cannot possibly be that dumb. This worthless lowlife used a flammable liquid to set an old lady on fire. Guns had nothing to do with it. It looks like prison is so lenient these people don't fear it anymore.
Mathion is 100% correct. But quite a few disagree with Mathion because a lot of Americans don't learn the easy way instead they learn the hard way. Those who disagree will agree with Mathion after they were accidentally shot in a mass shoot out. Americans continue to elect progun politicians and only now, after so many gun tragedies, they come to realize that gun sales should be better regulated. Assault weapon ownership thru 2nd amendment was meant to protect our country but as it is now most of those gun owners could only pee in their pants if sent to fight in real wars.

Well stated!
