Let's say for the sake of argument that is true; however, GZ left out the part that he TRIED to detain TM before he shot him and that when he tried to do that, TM defended himself, and ANYONE would have done the exact same thing. GZ after yelling "Hey, what are you doing around here", tried to detain TM. In fact, that is EXACTLY what he tried to do AFTER he eventually shot and killed TM. He tried to DETAIN him. It so obvious that was what GZ was trying to do because he said himself, "these ******** they always get away." Obvious, if GZ was SO in fear for his life before he fatally shot TM, as he would have his supporters believe, then he would have gotten up off that ground and tried to make it back to his truck as he claimed he was trying to do before he shot TM or called the police back to let them know what had happened since his earlier caller but he didn't do that. Instead, he said for himself that he asked the person that he first saw after he had shot TM to help him RESTRAIN TM and that is EXACTLY what he tried to do to begin with and that is EXACTLY what initiated that confrontation with TM. And TM had a devine RIGHT to TRY to get away from this person even if it meant punching him in the nose and knocking him to the ground. GZ had NO RIGHT WHATSOEVER putting his hands on TM or trying to detain him and TM had an absolute divine right to defend himself because, after all, he had no idea who this grown ass man was that was following him and trying to detain him. Anyone would have reacted that way if somebody was trying to detain them against their will. We all know that and once GZ's supporters accept that then they will see WHY GZ is guilty of Second Degree Murder.
Plus trayvon was on foot george zimmerman was following in a car if he felt trayvon was a threa he could of called the cops i believe hes just lying to them to get off the hook easy if i was a part of the system he could be rotting in prison on a life sentence dont give him the death penalty thats to easy he needs to suffer

First of all I thought TM was bigger, the pictures they show to the media are old pictures. However, if the trials bears out what other people are saying, like GZ grabbed TM first, then TM absolutely had the right to defend himself.
Again though, no one HERE ON THESE boards know the exact truth. If GZ put his hands on TM first, and got whooped then that is assault by GZ and TM had every right to defend himself. Now ONCE TM defended himself he did not have a right to continue stomping GZ on the ground, the threat to himself was eliminated, and TM should have ran away and called the police to tell them this crazy fool tried to grab him. However, if TM continued to stomp him on the ground, then at that GZ had a right to defend himself.

On Friday, December 14, 2012, the lives of 20 innocent children at the ages of 6 and 7 were cut short along with 6 other adults. The parents and families of those children and adults are grieving their loss, and will probably grieve for the rest of their lives. Just like the parents of Trayvon Martin, the parents of those children's loss their child to gun violence. No parent should ever have to bury their child to a gun toting vigilante such as George Zimmerman, Michael Dunn and Adam Lanza. Each one of them took the lives of innocent people and completely destroyed families, and it is being felt around the world. While nothing could ever replace the loss of the victims; however, your support for the families of those victims is most important at the time of their grief.
