with all the damage by sandy, guessing employment of construction workers will increase in all crafts. no doubt civil engineering too and so many other jobs. reconstruction of so much devastation costs billions and billions.
What makes anyone think that the response of the Federal government is any better now than it was with Katrina? Because Obama visited New Jersey. Big whoopee. Has the promised money been doled out? There are still millions of people without electricity, gas and water shortages, and many people whose homes were destroyed. Lets reevaluate this in six months or a year and we will know how successful the Obama administration was in handling this disaster.

Quite frankly, while I sympathize with those whose homes have been wrecked, I have very little sympathy for those who didn't stock up on water, food and gas BEFORE the storm unless they simply didn't have the means to (most did). It's not as if they didn't know it was coming. VERY foolish on their part. I took care of that 3 days before the storm hit. Common sense.
romney, republicans, want to reduce funding of FEMA and leave disaster relief to the private sector and the states. how is that an improvement over current FEMA? how much money have you personally donated toward sandy damage reconstruction, food and water for citizens? guessing at least 25% of your gross annual salary and if not then shut it.
