To all those second-guessers and legal purists - judge this father only after you have stood in his shoes. Tell me you'd stand and evaluate the legal ramifications while this was happening to your daughter. I'm not a parent, and I back this father 100%. The law enforcement did do an investigation, and corroborated the father's story.
this is a strange time in America someone murders someone and they walk because they (the murder) says that the murdered did this, it is obvious that the kid is to young, and by the time the police get there the evidence has been altered, but where is our concern about copy cat murders this is a great example of how in Texas our late President JFK, was murdered by then Texas Vice President LBJ and no investigation followed, Texas seems to breed murder, and everyone seems to accept that he was guilty, I thought that was what a jury was for
You have got to be kidding me. Do you have children? If you don't I hope you never do as you do not appear to have any natural protection instinct. And there was a witness, the man who alerted the father that the guys was forcibly carrying his child into the woods. Had that been my kid the man wouldn't have just gotten beaten to death I can tell you that. There are some things that are obvious, you find a man on top of your 5 year old with his pants down, I'm sorry, you do what you have to to protect your child.
realpatriot1776 I love to listen to people such as yourself spout about justice for murderers, thieves, rapist, etc., etc..
It doesn't matter to you if the criminal got caught in the moment of the crime or not or whether it's so heinous of crime. You would have kept your cool, held the criminal, sought help for the victim and called the Police to give a perfect affadavit explaining all the facts at the scene or Police Station. That about right?
Most people who make these remarks usually have never been in a situation involving a crime or they've been a victim and didn't do anything about it so now they want everyone else to be a victim with them.
Some of us do what is necessary to defend our families or ourselves and while it doesn't always end up with a criminal dead...it happens in the moment. Next time consider what was happening to the victim first before worrying about the criminals rights.
Yeah and we only have HIS version of what happened, and his claims, and as we learned with cases liek the Wendy's finger lady- people LIE left and right.
Man! You got your stories all screwed up! Read the article again...They had a witness, the guy was found with his pants down, the daughter was found to have been raped, Jeeeeze, wake up! And JFK was not murdered by LBJ...You must just be a "TROLL" looking for a fight
I understand that the ranches don't have number addresses but if the guy was dying why didn't someone at that BBQ put him in a vehicle and drive him to a doctor or hospital and how do you not know what road your fathers ranch is on? there were many other people there who could have helped give directions to that 911 operator something is not right about this
The death was an accident but one that is acceptable in terms of the father doing exactly what he is permitted and justified in doing to protect his family. A tragedy created by the criminal act of the dead man.
Now go find some other story to get all wound up over.
As to the location, clearly you don't know Texas very well. A big state with lot and lots of little roads and places and yeah 911 operators clearly were clueless in this case. This mans first responsiblity is to take care of his family. He did what he could for the criminal who attacked his child. Nuff said, Case Closed, no smell, no problem except for more training for 911 operators.
