NOT my hero. It would be very nice if it was "stylish" again to act like a lady, dress like a lady and TALK like a lady. Very rarely do they all go together anymore. Instead everybody goes for shock value.
And the whole "free speech" excuse is getting VERY OLD. Here in America we have the right to run off at the mouth any time we want: it doesn't mean that EXERCISING that right is in good taste or good judgment.
Lisa Brown is my new hero. That was a great line and a battle cry. And it should be educational as to how easily free-speech can be shut down, even elected officials are subject. Lisa if you're in NYC some day hit me up - we'd have fun.
Just another example of why the GOP is considered the party of ignorant, anti-intellectual, anti-science, superstitious morons! I left the GOP several years back because of the ignorance made so manifest by the whining, complaining and mis-information exuded by this antiquated political party. Fox (faux news)and the GOP are made for each other.
she made very blatant allusions to rape -------------------------
When States like Virginia want to forcibly probe a medical instrument into a woman against her will ...that is State Sanctioned Rape, one of the most humiliating ideas that even the Medieval mind couldn't come up with. THAT IS RAPE. She is right because who ever wants to defend a idea such as Virginia is in fact wanting to rape every pregnant woman.
by Thatnig94 June 15, 2012 7:45 PM EDT The "vaginal Probes"is insulting to women issues and healthcare overrall, and I didn't agree with Republicans, but as a man- I side with the men in that room who prevented a future sexual harrassment forum from forming. No one is trying to take women back to olden days or to sanction any woman's speech. This lawmaker is not Nancy Pelosi or Diane Feinstein- neither of these women would have taken herself that low to insult all the men in the room. Ladies, please know that we men take it very serious when you try to use that body part as a bargaining tool for our attention whether its at home or in other settings, but to use it on the job- it just sends chills up our spine and we shut down...Its not a republican or democratic thing- its a male species safe guard to protect ourselves from reacting in-appropiately and women catching us in their web of deception when using the women's area in any dialogue. These men did the right thing and I applaud them. Having to deal with wives at home is one thing who use their vagina as a secret weapon, but not on the job from some other women who thinks everyone wants her...geez _____________________________________________

The entire piece of legislation was sexually indecent and humiliating and yet most of the GOP stood by it and defend it. It was State sanctioned rape.
"No one is trying to take women back to olden days or to sanction any woman's speech."
No one? When a woman tries to speak against what she perceives as an injustice and a talk show host calls her a ****...yep, that is going back to the olden days when assertive women were considered shamefully brazen.
"This lawmaker is not Nancy Pelosi or Diane Feinstein- neither of these women would have taken herself that low to insult all the men in the room."
Insult to the men? I'm sorry but when a Georgia Congressman in 2011 wanted to investigate all miscarriages as manslaughter ..that is an insult to all women. When a States wants to forcibly probe women against their will that is an insult to women.
"Ladies, please know that we men take it very serious when you try to use that body part as a bargaining tool for our attention whether its at home or in other settings, but to use it on the job- it just sends chills up our spine and we shut down"
Seriously? You don't think that quote above isn't freakin' insulting to ALL WOMEN? That has to be one of the most damn SEXIST remarks I have read in a long time. What an ass you are.
"...Its not a republican or democratic thing- its a male species safe guard to protect ourselves from reacting in-appropiately and women catching us in their web of deception when using the women's area in any dialogue."
Now you are insulting all men. So men have a web of deception? Wow.
"These men did the right thing and I applaud them. Having to deal with wives at home is one thing who use their vagina as a secret weapon, but not on the job from some other women who thinks everyone wants her...geez"
Please, please tell me you were being sarcastic the entire time!!!!!!!

these self righteous bastards want to impose the far right agenda on everyone kinda like what hitler tried ti do.
we need to vote them all out of office for the good of our great country because with them in charge we can only go DOWN!
These men probably still refer to their ******* as "tee-tees".
Evidently they do not own television sets; where every day you see commercials for erectile dysfunction.
"For an erection that lasts longer than four hours; seek immediate medical attention......!
Sex and sexual references are rampant on TV.
Do these people suddenly go deaf and blind during these commercials.?
Do they rush their children ( or themselves) out of the room when an anatomically correct word is spoken.?
Do they pass out when they see a naked, pregnant movie star on the front cover of a magazine.?
Did they encourage everyone to boycott "The Vagina Monologues".?
Politicians display their immature attitudes in Washington every day; having tantrums and fighting among themselves over anything and everything.
Get over yourselves.!!!
Parents are urged to use anatomically correct words when discussing sex or body parts with their children

"This bill was about abortion. That doesn't happen without a vagina."
The proper reference is UTERUS, not vagina.
