It sounds legit to me. If he was having TIA's it would explain it, and he's old enough it could happen. But it's not a good idea to drive until they figure out what's wrong. My brother wasn't allowed to drive for 5 years after he had a seizure at home; first and only seizure - that was caused by change in medication. But there are strict rules about seizures and driving, apparently.

I'd love to know where all these people (some of whom clearly can't read or use the English language properly) got their medical and/or legal degrees!

Not a conservative, but still think that if a criminal commits a crime they should do the time.

Since its a DOUBLE FELONY, the third would ultimately get him Life in Jail. Glad I am not associated with this type for person. No would I would to defend a criminal for their actions.

After first running into the first car and almost killing the first people, he got out and walked and talked to the victims, when they said they were calling the police, he ran back to his car and took off again, hitting their car again, they chased him where he ran into and almost killed another couple in their cars. if they were hurt I am sure there would be more legal problems that you would have to defend.

Glad I am not associated with this criminal.

He should do his time in jail and not escape, yet he already flew out of state.

How is it he was diagnosed with seizure without seeing a doctor yet, this happened last night, did he see a doctor this morning? NO

If he already knew he had seizure problems, WHY was he in the whitehouse? Why was he driving if he knew he had seizure problems?
Why was he in the whitehouse running our economy?

Either way you try to defend it it just makes him look bad.

He should face the facts and go to jail like every other honorable citizen.

boycott-microsoft: He has NOT been convicted; therefore he is NOT a "criminal"! You are SO ignorant about legal and medical issues that it's beyond belief! He was kept overnight at the HOSPITAL where he received medical attention, diagnostic tests and underwent observation. That is CLEARLY stated in the article and proves your statement that he "didn't see a doctor" 100% FALSE! And how do you know that this wasn't the FIRST time he'd had a seizure (which can be caused by a number of different conditions? Answer is--you DON'T!

Please stop spewing your extreme ignorance and learn how to read and write in English properly. Sheesh!

boycott-microsoft: The felony charge is for leaving the scene of an accident. He only did that once (and technically he has not been charged). And looking into it more, I realize that he very well could have been suffering a seizure which would have affected his judgement and caused him to leave the scene of the first accident. He was unconscious at the second accident, tested negative for alcohol, and has a history of seizures. Of course this is just speculation, as is your extreme speculation that he is a criminal.

he's clearly an international terrorist plant ... probably wasn't even born here ... and could even be programmed to activate into 'destruction' mode at any point.

he should be shackled and medicated until his true criminal intent is fully known.

then we can all feel safe.

In the 2008 there was a long drawn out discussion about Michelle Bachmann and her suitability to hold public office due to her proclivity for migraine headaches.

Since Mr. Bryson has clearly demonstrated that he suffers from "seizures", he must immediately be dismissed from any position of responsibility at the Federal Level. Of Course he will not be dismissed because things are different when you are a Democrat and Obama will never fire a loyal minion.

On the other hand it must have been a very odd seizure which Mr. Bryson suffered considering that he had a seizure that caused an accident then clarity to talk to his victims followed by a second seizure that caused him to hit the same victim a second time followed by clarity to drive away and hit a third time.

Sounds more like intoxication than a seizure.

Was Bachmann dismissed? No. And you obviously have no qualifications to determine the severity or nature of his seizure. Please feel free to get back to us when you get your medical degree.

1. Michelle Bachmann of course is still in Congress. I never heard any talk from anyone of consequence that she should resign because of migraines.

2. Lots of people have seizures. That doesn't mean he is not effective as a Federal employee. It would be outrageous discrimination to fire all Federal workers that are diagnosed with epilepsy.

3. Mr. Bryson tested negative for alcohol at an on-scene breathalyzer.

4. There is no reason to suspect Mr. Bryson's condition was not a seizure. He has had a history of seizures before. And people having seizures frequently display odd behavior.

boycott-microsoft says:
How does seizure affect a persons ability to leave the scene of a CRIME. Seizure is a lame excuse for a CRIME committed by Obama's head of the Economy.

He ran into the first car, got out and WALKED and talked to the first group of people he almost killed, when they called the cops, he ran! Hit their car again, and they cased him, this is where he ran into another car and almost killed another few people, and also ran away from the scene of the crime.

This is not a seizure, its a crime also called a DOUBLE felony Hit and Run.

He should be punished. I am not a conservative and still think this is wrong for the administration to defend his wrong doing. HE almost killed four people and they say cause of med condition. If he would have injured those people or perhaps done severe harm to them, the lies would still report the same? This is appalling to think someone in the whitehouse would defend a crime by posting AP news that discredits the police force.

He was charged with Hit and RUN. He ran from the scene of a crime!

He was conscience, not having a seizure, and even walked an talked with the victims. People should be ashamed defending a crime like this.

You obviously know NOTHING about seizures. They can range from very mild, in which case you may appear to be functional, to severe, in which case you lose "consciousness" (not "conscience"). It is also rather apparent that you have no experience regarding seizures nor a medical degree. All you are doing is spewing your ignorant opinion.

BTW, where do you get this nonsense that "he almost KILLED 4 people"? And how does this in ANY way "discredit the police force"? I'm sure they knew what they were doing, based on their professional judgment of the circumstances.

Because following a seizure or an episode of seizures a person is very confused and disoriented. Ask any first year medical student or even easier go to the internet and look up seizures.

This should be an excuse for all drunk drivers, symptoms include extreme confusion, and may of the same symptoms a small seizure would inflict, but shame shame you drank you drove. This man had to feel these symptoms, but chose to drive away and inflict more damage..Look people you can work 30 yrs under paid, raise children to adulthood and volunteer in your community, and get no break for breaking the law. Neither should anyone else...To the lawyer above: Bet with the right amount of money you could explain your clients way out of anything couldn't you, then charge the man from McDonalds at $8.00 an hour $250.00 an hour to tell him to cop a plea. We're tired of the elite above the law attitudes....

As someone who could not drive for 6 months after having my second seizure until my meds were stabalized, I can fully appreciate the secretary's condition. After a Tonic Clonic Seizure, you may remember little even if your spouse says you were "functional." Fortunately with a wife who is a nurse, I received good care and did not hurt myself anymore than the initial fall.
