Maybe they should increase the distance between the gas and brake pedals; make driving with both feet the standard instead of the right foot doing everything.

or maybe just don't let idiots who can't figure out the difference between the two pedals drive a 4000 lb vehicle.

she was probably talking on the phone at the time.

And what foot are you supposed to use for the clutch?

People who drive manual transmission vehicles do use two feet. And the reason you use your right foot for both gas and brake pedal is that only one can be used at a time. The reason the brake pedal is close to the accelerator is so that you can move your foot in a reasonable amount of time to press the brake pedal.

Instead of asking to change the design of the car, maybe ask to have better tests so morons don't get behind the wheel of a vehicle.

You are apparently so perfect you have never made a mistake in your life.

I would wager you have, as with us all, however yours have fortunately not had such a disastorous result.

Then I suppose a moron/idiot is easily recognised by another moron/idiot

when you make a mistake of starting your car w/ children in the driveway ... and accelerate your 4000 lb chunk of steel in their direction ... and don't have the means to correct those first two acts of poor judgment ... that qualifies you as an idiot.

when i get in a vehicle ... with children in the driveway ... step on the wrong pedal ... and can't figure out the difference between acceleration and braking ... i'll be an idiot as well.

the only mistake was letting this person have the keys and allowance to operate the vehicle in the first place.
