He exited the safety of his vehicle. How threatened could he have been? What other "smoking gun" does any reasonable person need? Zimmerman used a gun instead of common sense, and killed a minor.

Obama's hate trio of the Black Panther party, Sharpton and Holder as not only attacking whites, they are now going after Hispanics. I guess Obama's only love is for black people.

It's obvious that Trayvon Martin the 6'3'' giant was trying to bash latino GZ head on the sidewalk to take his gun. Did you see Trayvon's twitter 'No Limit N***A', TM is a thug who stole women's jewelry and even attacked a bus driver.

Martins post on Twitter appeared on the front pages in European news papers, the American media showed a picture of him at age 13. Thus far the bus driver assault has been a rumor, the school has not commented on whether that was one of his suspensions, but it will certainly be part of the evidence if there is truth to it. Martin's grandfather is supposed to be a retired police officer which could explain why so much of his behavior was passed over at the school. The pot and the pot pipe in his backpack should have resulted in charges and a program, normally two suspensions and then a third result in expulsion in the school systems. This all points to Martin being a problem and capable of anything.

I carry a gun all the time as there are too many thugs around just wanting to kill, rape, or what ever.
********************************************************************
How do you know they are thugs?
How do you know they want to kill?
How do you know they want to rape, or whatever?

Oh, Martin was on top of Zimmerman? Martin is still dead, and Zimmerman should still go on a trial to defend what he did. Only 2 people know what happened that fateful night, and 1 of which we will never know. Prosecutors will paint a picture of Zimmerman as a Violent Criminal with a Criminal record, and the Defense will attempt to do the same using Trayvon's High School records.

This may boil down to one question directed to George Zimmerman. Would you be where you are tonight if you had listened to the 911 dispatcher and waited for official law enforcement personnel before leaving your vehicle?

Just curious but how many guns does Zimmerman own? Has anyone seen anything about that. A Keltec 9mm is the sort of gun owned by a person who has alot of guns of various calibers. It is a nice weapon. reasonably priced, good quality.

What difference does it make how many guns he has, he only needed one for the alleged crime.

Most of the gun nuts I know are basically afraid. (I have two weapons myself). They have more guns than they could possibly use. It apparently gives them a feeling of security. But a gun is a tool like any other. The gun nuts see themselves in Zimmerman. They feel they should be able to blast anyone they feel is a threat. But they are such fraidy cats, that they see threats around every turn. A dangerous combination. And I think that is some of what happened here. This Zimmerman is a wannabe and he was looking for threats. I hope he is convicted of manslaughter. He is guilty of it.

I agree. Sensible gun owners defend themselves and their family. "Gun nuts" have arsenals and think they are a target 24 hours a day.

Newbe gun owners have a warped idea of what is involved with actual employing a firearm during a confrontation. For one thing, until you're had a successful experience with armed combat, you can not tell how you will react. Kinda like your first encounter with a buck in the woods when you are 16 years old. I have owned guns for most of my life. Yet the sheer idea of actually resorting to such foolishness is beyond my ability to comprehend.

According to FOX news, since this afternoon, Zimmerman has received over $300,000 in donations from the NRA membership alone! No doubt his prosecution will galvanize supporters of gun rights associations across the country. Absent something more compelling to support the charge coming to light at trial, there is no way Zimmerman gets convicted of 2nd Degree Murder. What's so hillarious is that Sharpton is able to lead stand up in front of his constituency and with a straight face make them believe that he believes theres any possibility of a 2nd degree murder disposition in this case. Whats even more ironic is that in the end, Zimmerman walks away from this a vindicated man from his acquittal and a wealthy man to boot!

One thing being lost here is that I understand Zimmerman had a gun in a holster on his belt, and therefore, it was clearly visible. For all the people attacking Trayvon for allegedly striking first, what would you do if you saw a guy hassling you with a gun strapped to his side? Do you wait for him to make the first move or do you strike first and not wait for him to shoot you down?

It looked like George had a windbreaker on that could have hidden the much of the gun.

From a story from TIme Magazine:

"An officer found his weapon, a black Kel-Tec PF-9 9mm semi-automatic pistol, in a holster placed on his waistband. "

The question, was it concealed by his jacket or was it visible?

conservatives are upset. They do not recognize a clear cut case of involuntary manslaughter. The kid was unarmed on the sidewalk. This guy had no legal right to do anything with him and he wound up dead. The shooter did not premeditate it. He is just an idiot. But it happened. That is why it is manslaughter.
