I continue being amazed at the content of some comments: So many people are convinced of Mr Zimmerman's guilt without knowing anything at all of what really happened! Why can you not wait and, while waiting, look at the astounding quality of hatred you are exhibiting, and let USA justice decide? You people scare me. No wonder so many of you have treated Barack Obama, the first decent President you've had in years, with blatant racism - and no wonder you, the "greatest democracy in the world", had (or have) an odious organization such as the Ku Klux Klan. Getting to know Americans, I'm discovering, does not positively correlate with growing to love them.

You are right...it will be about the thug Trayvon Martin who was shot and killed due to his own poor judgment. Had he been a good kid this would have never happened.

************************************

Don't you mean if he had "known his place" and submitted at once to the imagined "authority" of an unstable cop wannabee who was fired from a job as a party security guard because he would get "aggressive and overzealous" when people didn't comply with his "orders" quickly enough...that he would sometimes "just snap?

Y'know, DenverBroncofan...you could give smug, racist @ssholes everywhere a bad name...

I'm sure many would resent being compared with a lame, one-note imbecile like you

So if a black man hits me - do I have more right to shoot him than if a white man hits me? According to statistics of course!
=============================================================

Not at all...defending your life is just that and I happen to believe that's was George did. I also happen to believe the Special Prosecutor will not file charges. In all reality I also believe when this becomes public riots will be much the same as the King verdict which is sad, but believe me there are far more people since that verdict which now have guns for protection and there will be far more bloodshed which is really sad.

Perhaps if Zimmerman stood up in court to PROVE his case, you could avoid the riots.

There will be no public riots. Not sure what year you live in but public riots will not be the problem. No one is asking that Zimmerman be hung or found guilty. Just arrest him and let him face a jury of his peers. If he get off, that's the law. People can live with that. But to just let him walk free when there are so many unanswered question will only fuel the fire.

From the start, I thought Zimmerman should have been charged with some lesser degree of manslaughter, as his irresponsible, cop-wannabee antics were the direct cause of Martin's death...no matter who threw the first punch...

But I now believe that I was completely wrong and I'm willing to admit it...

If the FBI technicians can determine FOR SURE (and if anyone can, it's them) that it was indeed Trayvon Martin who was screaming for help...and not George Zimmerman, then there is ample cause and justification for bringing a charge against Zimmerman for premeditated, 1st degree murder...

If Martin was the one doing the screaming, it was because he didn't want to get shot and hoped that someone would rush in to prevent that as a witness

Bur that's a murder charge that will never be brought and prosecuted as such in this case

Something far less serious...if the SOB is even charged at all

Forget about law and justice...forget right and wrong...forget it all...

This case has gone and will continue to go even more MEGA-POLITICAL...the rich old white guys who hate to pay taxes (but love to pack heat)...the NRA...any politician who wants some airtime...and every stripe of mainstream or political extremist group...EVERYBODY!

Nobody's going to pass this one up...it will be the main entertainment venue for 2012...and probably beyond

I hope that people will be able to remember that it had once all been about a kid named Trayvon Martin

Well how on earth did he have time to determine whether he was a "good kid"?????????????

A mother and father lost their child. But, you have the audacity to plead for money. The things you lost are materialist. You are a racist. You pursued that child. You must be ARREST. You claim that you were "standing your ground". Well, was it not ok for Trayvon to "stand his ground" when a stranger was following him and approached him. The sad part is all these "CLOSET RACIST" support you and your antics. I would never in a million years donate a penny to you. You are worthless and I hope you loose everything you have...

There hasn't been a trial Bronco.

George didn't have the right to be judge jury and executioner.
And YOU dont' have the right to be judge and jury in his case.

Denver; the Special Prosecutor still has the option (which are her typical style) to bring any charges she chooses short of first degree murder without consulting with a grand jury. Learn something about the laws in the State of Florida.

@apufan, Statistics are something everyone should be aware of. Especially crime statistics.

Apparently George was aware of the statistics otherwise this might have had an unfortunate ending to an innocent man.

The reason I know Zimmerman is racist is because of what he said to the police on his 911 call. And then on his website begging for racists to contribute to his cause is a graffiti tagged wall at a university. He's proud of his racism.

George remains George's worst enemy has he holds audiences with his new found fans and groupies. The more statements he makes publicly the more George appears to undermine his own defense. Including costing his attorneys the opportunity to claim contamination of the jury pool because George is the person currently contaminating the jury pool.

Why is it all the "evidence/what we read in the news" that supports Zimmerman's side is considered by some to be unquestionable....and yet any "evidence" that might go against him is questioned?

That's why we charge a jury in a court of law to evaluate the credibility of the witnesses in any case.
