Marijuana should never have been made illegal in the 1st place. It had nothing to do with protecting people but rather protecting corporate profits: http://www.otcmagic.com/why-did-marijuana-become-illegal-in-the-1st-place
I was diagnosed with Glaucoma while a freshman in college, 1974. I was told I'd be legally blind by 25 years old. I got a second opinion and when I asked if there was nothing I could do I was told "smoke dope". That was in Ann Arbor, MI and at that time, AA had a $5 pot law (get caught with less than an oz, it was a ticket and confiscation). I did not feel any legal threat associated with smoking pot to speak of and all was well.
Other than the last 8 months, I have self medicated for all these years (I'm 56 now) and can see just fine though I am noticing a narrowing of my vision recently. I need to start back up. I quit to get a job that included a drug test. I had NO trouble quitting at all. NO addiction.
I live in Florida. Too bad as this may just be the LAST place on Earth that will ever budge on marijuana and it's use. Governor Scott legislates ALL pleasure and makes all the rules his rules. That's what politicians do. The perception in Florida is that we're primarily retirees and THEY don't want marijuana. Says who? That was true many years ago but that generation has all but died off leaving the next gen to debate this topic.
I know if I get caught saving my eyesight, I will go to jail and will simply go blind there. Pot is the one thing that will arrest my condition and allow me the gift of sight. How can the state legislate THAT? How dare they tell me that I get no help and can simply go blind?
The marijuana laws are archaic and have outlived their usefulness long ago. In all the years of intense study, WHAT BAD had been found? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. And in my case, it's a miracle cure as far as I am concerned.
I consider some of the incredible things that I've SEEN since college and there are truly some amazing things I'd not have wanted to miss. I'd have seen NONE of those things without pot. Think about it.
coming from an 18 year old senior, about 80 percent of my highschool either smokes, or finds nothing wrong with smoking. coming from a kids perspective with no ties to any politics anything, we don't give a **** whether its illegal or not. we are going to find it. and we are going to smoke it.
Coming from a 14 year old I would keep Marijuana illegal. Its much easier for me to get Marijuana when its illegal then when its legal. Jesus Christ do you know how hard it is nowadays to get your hands on alcohol or even a cigarette if you are a minor? I only need to go across the street to get me a dimebag. Keep Marijuana illegal America!
I don't smoke pot and don't intend to do so.....BUT I COUDLN'T AGREE MORE WITH MR. ROBERTSON. PUTTING KIDS IN JAIL FOR POT IS ABSOLUTELY INSANE.....WE NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS BEFORE ANY MORE LIVES ARE RUINED. What can we do as "regular citizens" to make this happen? Mr. Robertson, please help us to know what to do and we will do it!!! Thank you so much for standing up for this issue.
Pot should be legal. I whole-heatedly agree. I don't personally smoke it but there all lots of people I know who do. I'd rather deal with someone who's stoned than drunk!
Finally he says something thats true!!!!!Tax payers should not foot the bill for all the dea agents doin nothing fighting a war on a war thats lost but they are scared to go after the real drug problems herion cocaine put these agents out there or get rid of them .. pot heads are easy they are KIDS.
The war on drugs is every bit as misguided as was the temperance movement which gave us prohibition. These laws were passed at the federal level by the use of fraudulent testimony from the director of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics Harry J. Anslinger and other government 'expert' witnesses. The result of these laws has been nothing less than a criminal act perpetrated against the American people by their own government. Hundreds of thousands of people who are no threat to society whatsoever have been the victims of these laws. I've heard it said that legalizing pot would send the wrong message to young people. What really sends the wrong message is that it's ok to imprison someone for doing something you disagree with even though it has no effect on you at all. I certainly hope president Obama's views on legalization are 'evolving' as he says they are with gay marriage. Freedom and justice for all can't just be a nice slogan, it has to actually mean freedom and justice for all.

We should dominate the world's trade in pot and all derivatives, including seeds.
Zero tolerance on imports. Banned as a major felony crime.
Then, maybe we can pay some debt down, and just care a notch less, by drugs of choice, about saving the rest of the world from itself.
