Why is this news? Oh yeah, a republican said this.

The republican congressmen say all these things, good or bad, and at least you know where they stand and what they think. The democrats never, or very seldom vary from the party line. It is kind of like 'elect me first, then I may tell you what I am about'. Kind of like the 'pass the legislation then read it' or legislation is 'passed' without a vote.

The thought process of the Indiana Republican legislator is an example of why I am no longer a Republican. I am beyond asking why the Republican Party can't embrace both fiscally conservative ideas and socially responsible ones at the same time. Republicans seem unable to let go of their past ideas about women, equality, religious freedom, race, sexual orientation and the environment. Our great nation was founded on the idea of religious freedom, and the separation of church and state is core to this. That Americans are free to choose religious beliefs and how we demonstrate them is fundamental part of our free society. That all people are created equal regardless or sex, race, religion or sexual orientation - is such a foundation of American society and my belief system as an American I can no longer call myself a Republican. Labeling the Girl Scouts as an organization "sexualizing young girls" and promoting "homosexual lifestyles" because they don't allow prayer or the singing of Christmas Carols is absurd. Girl Scouts teach leadership, individual responsibility and community involvement. As a former Girl Scout, and American Woman I am no longer a Republican. I've had enough. We can do better. Join me in leaving the Republican Party.

Unfortunately the Republican party has been hi-jacked (for want of a better term) by a bunch of extremists incapable of critical thinking and are driving rational people out of the party. This man is a prime example of the problems besetting the party and more of his ilk seem to be surfacing every day, including Rick Santorum.

Just for fun, I decided to to some checking to see what little Bobby found on the internets. There is indeed a "source" for this, which you can find at http://speaknowgirlscouts.com/. Evidently it is a website created by a couple of ex-Girl Scouts full of breathless innuendo. Lifenews.com has quickly picked it up as further shocking proof of the vast Planned Parenthood conspiracy and its various tentacles into the unsuspecting hearts and minds of the children of America.

I can't believe how these radical anti-Christian women, the so-called "Girl Scouts" are not only permitted to attend schools, they are not even required to wear a burqa! Not only that, but male strangers are not allowed to beat them for showing their hair in public!

this man has gone to far and I think he knows it with the media all around I also feel or at least hopes he has hurt his chances for reelection. I think he should seek therapy cause it looks as though he is having a paraniod psychotic breakdown. Clearly delusional.
I also feel everywomen and girl who was and is currently a girl scout should camp out in his yard and make lots of s'mores LOL. that would be a hoot.

LOL! Next would be Occupy Girl Scouts! ; )

At least the Republican House Leader did what he could to quell the idea that all Republicans are this ridiculous - they are going to have to start cleaning their own house!

This has nothing to do with Republicans - just one idiot. Other Republican lawmakers made fun of him and passed out cookies. Their are lots of Republicans, even very conservative ones, in Girl Scouts.

I think the cookies he purchased must have been tainted. Why else would this idiot make such statements. We have certainly entered the land of Oz with these politicians from the GOP. I think they are all secretly addicted to coke, and methamphetamine.
