this reminds me of the turbulent 60's. Many of the protestors then started out with clear objectives but so many "nothing better to do" people jumped on their band wagon, and owing to lack of organization, commandeered the movement.

And the media was not honest. Yes the police and militia's were heavy handed in some cases. But at the DNC in Chicago in the 60s protestors tossed bags of urine and feces at the crowd control police where were carefully and non-violently (initially) doing their jobs. But the media didn't show that, only the response of the finally-fed up police. It made it seem like brutality when it was really self-defense.

Half the problem in this country is the media only tells part of the truth and slants it to one end or another. The other half is short attention spans on the part of the public who don't search out the facts before they become angry.

I suspect that OWS has a legitimate point somewhere, and I support their constitutional right to peaceful assembly. I applaud tolerance on the part of government. But I also would like to see more organization and less angry hot-heads on both sides. OWS needs to get some leadership if they want to be heard and taken seriously.

Yet some people will support the tabco companies nonsense that it is freedom of speach violation to not put the picture on the package.

I guess if you kill there is no problem with freedom only if you want to stop corruption in this country to you get arrested.

Welcome to 1933 Germany.

A few hundred people in a city park represents less than 0.000001%.

Why do they get such coverage?

Is this a stunt for the democrat party's outreach program?

Legal is what those with the guns say it should be, and not what is right or wrong. If you do not support Occupy, then you support torture, Imperial Invasions intent on enslaving and destroying People of Color and their homelands, Greed, Environmental Destruction, Political Corruption and Tyranny through violent oppression.

The rest is just Noise.

The reason the Egyptian occupation of Tahrir Square accomplished its objectives, and the American "Occupy" movement has -- so far -- been so ineffective, is that the Egyptians stayed when their government told them to go home.

Comparing protests in Egypt to protests in America is rediculous. Want to change America? Study the issues and VOTE - he11, run for office if you're inclined to do so! Occupying parks? Fail.

I hope they stay. They are a beacon to the rest of the world. So they can't camp there. So what? Their tents are up and they can be there in shifts.

A beacon to the rest of the world???? You're kidding, of course.. I don't know what they want... and I don't think they do, either.... For them, I'm sure this occupy thing is more entertaining and beats going to school or getting a job...

Perhaps, Occupy should accept the fact that Americans have heard what they have had to say , found it false and would now like them to stop costing the Tax Payers money. Occupy's tactic from the beginning have done nothing expect cost the 99% they grandiosely claim they represent a billion or so dollars. Their Apparent plan is extort money from tax payers crush small business wherever they Occupy and continue to to do this until we all agree with them. They are not the voice of Democracy they are the voices of people who in their own mind have failed and would like someone to blame for it.
