Law enforcement and those handing out guns and badges better wake up. The park ranger in that picture is/was no match for what's running around on the streets.

RaySlapper and all those gun-lovers out there. If you are so man enough why do you need a gun in the first place? How is that make sense to go out for hunting with assault rifle? Give the beast a chance for God sake and man up to meet him without a gun. The truth is you need guns to threat your lack of self esteem and inferiority complex, so you can feel like a man.

Many like you on a daily basis find out why when you meet predator. They shut you up so you can't tell the cops who it was. It just happened in Indianapolis Indiana over the weekend, two people murdered by visitors from the inner city, a 22 year old and a six year old little girl got shot by two thugs with stolen guns. What was stolen, video games, cell phones etc.

Obviously NOT law enforcement because the overwhelming majority of law enforcement APPROVE of qualified law abiding citizens being allowed to own and carry firearms.
I work in the legal system (not on the street) and I have first hand knowledge of this. Two of my best friends are detectives and another is a judge.
You are NOT law enforcement. Please do not besmurch our fine men and women in blue by pretending to be.

The overwhelming majority of us law enforcers DO NOT want "as many guns on the streets as possible".

Quite the opposite: our view is that ONLY those with law enforcement qualifications and training should be allowed to carry weapons - whether concealed or not. And even some of us those shouldn't be allowed to carry.

But go ahead, spew your blather while sitting safely behind your computer, while WE get shot at. It's no skin off YOUR assss, right?

I'm not ashamed of what I am or what I do.

I AM ashamed that idiots like you pretend that EVERYONE should be able to own a weapon, and if some mental health psychopath should be allowed to own a weapon subsequently gets "out of control", you can just dial 9-1-1 and someone will come to save you.

You couldn't care less about the safety of the responder - you just want the psychopath to be able to own a weapon if he or she wants to.

Which of course is a typical conservative attitude; just like the fabricated war in Iraq fought for no apparent reason. But as long as it's not YOU or YOUR KID fighting it, it's completely justified, right chicken hawk?

What i want to hear from my police officers is, i acknowledge the right for law abiding citizens to carry firearms and i will do everything in my power to meet my oath and obligation to the constitution and fully protect the legal rights of all of these people.

You are obviously NOT law enforcement.
You are obviously just a LIAR without a plausible argument.

Obviously NOT law enforcement?

Because I don't want people with mental health problems carrying weapons?

Ignore Slap-happy Ray. Anyone with a brain in his head knows the founding fathers never intended for nutjobs to run around with automatic weapons with no regulations in place.

That mentally challenged individuals like Ray are allowed to carry is frightening enough.

I'm so sick of guns being used in America, and I'm so sick of the gun lobby. What's the crime rate in Japan, where guns are tightly controlled? Do they have officers being shot? I say take all the guns in America and melt them down. We'll survive. America's greatest strengths are not it's weapons.

Stop making guns and criminals will eventually have trouble getting them. As for your other theory, I don't own a gun because I don't want one. Not all of us think guns are the greatest invention ever.

They have done that in DC in the 70s. Robberies and murders soared through the roof. The predators loved it. Even today, 50,000 plus arrest occur per year or higher in DC, a city of 600,000. The same for NYC, one weekend this summer 52 shootings, none of them with permits occurred. Then there is the knifings, blunt instrument violence that occur with robberies burglaries etc.

Oh yeah, one nutcase, who is probably another democrat like the freak who shot Congresswoman Giffords, makes the point of a left wing loser like prez of the Brady nuts.

One nutcase that is more than likely a gun toting conservative that believes it's "his right" to carry a weapon any time and any place that he wants to. He probably also has a lengthy record of mental illness that the NRA thinks should not prevent him from owning a weapon either.

Just like they think that people on the terrorism watch list should be able to own weapons.

You idiot gun owners make life for us law enforcers that much more unnecessarily dangerous.

I was asked to track a man no law man wanted to follow into the localmountain range. This man had killed his wife raped and tortured his step daughter. He was vietnan veteran a highly qualified weapons expert and survivalist. I dogged this man for nine days . Day and night . He would try things that only trained people would know and novices couldn't imagine. I changed boots three times a day different soles burned my waste and covered my back trail with pull over grass sign which is where you cross grass or twist it behind you circle yourself and check for your 6 for tripped trail signs. After nine days he sat down under a tree wrote a suicide note put it inside a mountain dew bottle and tied it to a tree limb where I would find it and him. It read . Tell everyone I am sorry I snapped and went too far. Tell the person dogging me that he or she is the best I have seen without seeing them I never got a shot or saw them but knew he or she or they were relentless.I can't and will not give his name. I will tell you people this . The veterans coming home are going to be unstable in some areas and strong in others. The enemy they have been fighting for libert and humanity will come home with them and will continue to kill in one fashion or another for decades to come. This is the first time I have told this story outside of a few priviliged people and two federal judges whom handed me dead or alive warrants before I went after him.I wish him and his victims peace and the family survivors I offer the satisfaction how ever they want to perceive it.Evryone go with God and remember the next time you want to sling testoerone around be careful who you hit some hit back and some just simply kill you.PEACE.

The guy that shot Gifford was a Dem. He had priors for drugs and alcohol. He manifested some pretty bizarre behavior at his college and they refused him admittance on the campus or in the classes. Law enforcement did not put him in the FBI database and he was allowed to purchase guns in a Democratic stronghold with a elected Democratic sheriff and Democratic everything else. Pretty sad, every rule/law on the books was violated and cost those poor people their lives.
