Test of Security Measures Reveals Lax Screening, Sleeping Guards, GAO Report Says
- Most of the "security" checks I've observed seemed designed not to maintain security but rather to make us feel that security is being maintained.

- Don't mind them, they are just practicing for the next "false flag" terrorist attack.

LOL!! You really think they don't know what a joke the security really is? Don't tell me you believe all that crap Bush/Cheney spouted?
I don't know what crap you are talking about as far as Bush/Cheney goes, nor do I care.
What I do know is that no one KNOWS anything for SURE, unless they are told.
And I do know that your media couldn't keep their mouths shut even if everyone's lives depended upon it.
I'll admit I had a good laugh though, over the news report that a military plane mistakenly flew nuclear weapons across two states. : ) Who the hell in their right mind wants the world to know about a screw up like that? - Reply to this comment

the people that want to change the policy that allowed that to happen ... that's who.
two scenarios ... both start where they mistakenly fly some restricted weapons around when they shouldn't.
the first case is where only the two lowest level guys know about it ... and fully realize they're in deep *#$&@ if anyone finds out.
the second one is where it's publicly leaked that this happened.
which one do you think is more likely to change the policy ... and which one is more likely to lead to nothing being done at all?
yea ... keeping it all under wraps is always the best idea ... and why not make it so that only one person should be able to decide what is and isn't under the wraps.

- Let the guard sleep. The other ones, who were awake, didn't catch anything, either.

- The greatest security in the universe will never prevent someone from getting to you if they really desire. What about the other more numerous places that the security was strong? Do they get kudos? Instead we focus on the negative, the places they got through. If anyone wants you or something you have, they will get it.

everything seems as it would be expected to be.
the day before the planes crashed in to the north and south wtc towers ... the secretary of the doj (john ashcroft) was proposing to cut the budgets that were currently in place for anti-terrorism efforts in the us.
another day ... same problem.
the system is broken ... and money is the cause.

I recall somebody saying that security was lax under Obama. The Obama media goons shouted him down. Now it turns out Obama really is asleep at the switch.

I'd like to know how the hell this could possibly be Obama's fault? This didn't just happen over night. This has probably been going one for YEARS.
And what you should be taking note of, is that it was FOUND out under Obama's watch. - Reply to this comment

- The post 9/11 security measures put in place by the government are a joke. They inconvenience honest people and fail to do anything toward protecting against a terrorist threat. Just BS security theater to fool the masses.

- Yeah look at what Unions did for the Auto, Steel and Textiles Industries! Not to mention education.
Tell me, which kids are better educated? Those in Union infested Public Schools or those in non-Union Private Schools?

- I knew it. While reading this story, I just knew the comments on it would be partisan BS, once again.
This isn't a partisan issue. The reality is that the Federal Gov. uses cheap security guard labor, in most cases, to guard Federal Buildings. Old, retired men and women, who are in their,"second", careers as security guards. These people need more supervision, and they need to be reminded, daily, that they can't take their perky's on the job. - Reply to this comment
