- Well if you want the truth about anything I would'nt rely on IThoughtItWasFunnyAgin thats for sure.

Point made..point taken. But I really wasn't relying on him. There was enough crap dumped on Native American/Indians over the years but I don't like seeing the tragedy of my people being exploited by athiests. You guys realize that there are HUGE numbers of mixed-race peoples all over the Americas? In Mexico they call it "la Raza." Pretty much all of El Salvador is mixed-race (white/indian). Out of the wreckage of the past comes something new and beautiful.... - Reply to this comment
- I'm pretty sure no one in my tribes ever got smallpox or anything else from the Spanish.
The point is that some ignorant poster on this forum claimed that 30 million south american and 1 million north american native/indians were butchered off by European
Christians. This is total b.s.--there weren't 1 million natives in N.A.
Obviously someone like me isn't going to deny wrong done to my own people but we have to have a better future and we won't get there by lying about the past.

Why should we lie about the past, it's not happening again and there's no point in it...
And if that was the purpose of your post, then I'll agree with you...
Lots of things we don't understand on this earth happened and the historical facts are scarce except for very recent events...
Survival of the fittest is nature's law, not human law, and it's been going on since the beginning of time....
The original framers of this country lived in peace with the natives...until somebody started promoting Manifest Destiny which is a great human failing. But it certainly didn't ORIGINATE in this country aka the Spanish Conquistadore like Pizarro and Cortez, Atilla the Hun, and has happened on every continent by great warriors at different times.
The great human mistake was the introduction of tribal farming, the implementing of surplus food that would supply armies, politics, bureaucrats, et al. Hunter gatherers had lived successfully for many many thousands of years, through many of earth's changes. Until now we've invented something that can destroy it all at the touch of a hand.

Read, study and form your own conclusions.

Friend, I have a Bachelor's in History, and was going for a PhD. in the subject. I have 'studied'. Coming to one's own conclusion is not exactly the best way to learn, especially if you decide to ignore pertinent evidence attesting to the contrary of what you want to believe. Further, I have never seen a cinsevative 'study' anything, as much as they go off half-baked, believing they already know the 'facts' of a situation. I think you need to take your own advice... - Reply to this comment
- How many Christians are conspiring to destroy the United States? When was the last time a group of beleivers of ANY other religion tried to destroy a skyscraper with tens of thousands of people in it (twice)??

Jared Alexander isn't one of them, he prestened them all in a summary. But he's the first one that points out the propaganda about Darwin's theory and it's useful tool by athiests.

- Try Jared Alexander's 'Guns, Steel and Germs' book that sums up most all of historical evidence of humans, domesticated animals, and plantlife on the planet...
Try that one, it's a really good read.

- NO, evidence doesn't even show or KNOW how many natives were in North America when the European tribal farmers hit the Americas, but there's good evidence that the numbers had been decimated already by the Spanish conquistadores who brought domesticated animals and their germs before the farmers got here.
And even the estimates show that MAYBE there were 1,000,000 natives on BOTH North and South America at one time, but the numbers had been decimated by disease rather than conquerors or farmers.

No, because I know he is a polemicist. As such, he has nothing of value to add to this discussion. Nothing more than a modern day revisionist. Further, every time some idiot tries to 'prove' his racism is indeed fact, he usually doesn't fdo it. But, because some people want to believe they are superior to others solely by way of their race, they eat is up like cheesecake.

- There is not enough solid evidence to produce pre-Columbian population estimates.
Posted by TPS2 at 11:31 AM : Jun 15, 2009
No kidding. There is pretty good evidence that there weren't anywhere close to 1,000,000 natives living in North America. You don't find whites walking onto too many large-scale farms or finding lots of improved land, which is what they would have had to find with a population that large.
Both tribes in my family numbered MAYBE 7000 by the time the French started to explore
what is now Maine, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

- Fear mongering for the feeble-minded who actually buy into this crap. What about at least a thousand people murdered today on the streets... what about so many killed by alcoholics and driving, what about 100 suicides just today, what about 3200 individuals who used a drug for the first time in their lives just today....... and the list goes on...why dont you all worry about those social problems before you start bombing the world for your own miseries....... apparently, the nation of cowards is used to those and needs something more crispy to chew on...........
