Now, someone remind me: WHY do we make guns so readily available to everyone that it is no problem for C-R-A-Z-Y white supremacists to get them and use them to murder people in a deliberate act of terrorism?

ST; I beg to disagree. That is 'exactly' where we should fight it. The hard part is looking inward deep enough to find it in the first place. Most people refuse to admit that they might be wrong or at fault...."

I agree fellow patriot. The quote is a metaphor in example of why we must not let evil and its subsequent ideology usurp our humanity, lest we be left to the whims and consequence of a barbarity we ourselves embraced.

Ok. It was 2 weeks since the last act of domestic terrorism. How long will it be before the next act of terrorism.?

The acts have been increasing since President Obama was inaugurated. The amount of hate speech has increased since then. You can tell by listening to talk radio, and read posts on the net.

First, there were tea parties, originally organized and attended ONLY by Libertarians. They were highjacked by some extremists with less than pure motives and ginned into a media frenzy.

Tea is a fairly innocuous beverage.

Keep your eyes peeled for a beer hall putsch.

The repugs and other white supremists are getting desperate. That means that Obama is doing better than they want him to.

More people die annually from septicemia. But of course they don't make the evening news.

Don't we try to prevent septicemia? And don't we try to cure septicemia?

Don't confuse arbitrariness with flexibility. There's a reason why the Constitution has survived the tests of time.

Yeah, they keep it in this environmentally controlled case. Neat.

I don't mind people with sound minds and adequate training owning guns. I'm just worried about the seemingly large percentage of the population that are blithering idiots.

That was one of my points, nearly half of all gun deaths (non war) are suicide. Now this is a horrible but telling statistic. These people need help, either to get out of an (to them) intolerable situation or to stop the pain. Thats why I showed these numbers ...

So why not just get rid of it?
Posted by txhorns512

What would we replace it with?

Something less arbitrary hopefully.

Unfortunately, gun,YOU don't get a say in the matter.

You're going to kill whomever I tell you to kill...and you're going to like it...or I'll get a bigger one...or maybe twelve bigger ones.

Could they limit gun ownership to single shot, black powder pistols?

=====================================

Not according to the Supreme Court. Lawmakers can't impose any undue burden on a constitutional right which lacks any rational basis.
