Does this mean I will get less junk mail? Really wish they would just do away with the post office. Service is bad. Tracking is a complete joke. And my dog doesn't like the delivery guy. Might be those silly shorts.

I love those shorts, it's all I wear. How dare you!

I'd like to give a shout out to the Goodwill in my area, where I got the shorts.

The problem is ,,,the post office cannot lobby the government,,,,,if they only could have lobbied ,,,they could have been bailed out,,,,isn't that how the bailouts and stimulus work?,,,,,NO ONE else got assistance.

Here's another case of irony 'rearing it's ugly head'!

Most government departments do not run 'on budget'! And some are simply allowed to 'balloon out of hand' beyond any reasonable restraint!

...but, not so with the post office! One of the few departments---if not the only one---that directly interacts with the vast majority of this nations' citizens!

The post office is being required to operate 'on budget'! This being so, they'll have to take
whatever action is necessary to stay on budget! Eventually, if it comes to ending Saturday delivery vs. another price increase---I hope they end Saturday delivery, because the price
of sending even first class mail is becoming so ridiculously high---that decreases in volume
will continue and increase if prices are raised AGAIN!

It's too bad the other government departments aren't operating 'on budget'! They ALL ought to be, though!

it's not really about the post office,

although the republi'con's never miss a chance to

MY NAME IS NICHALA LARAMY AND I HAVE BEEN SEEKING EMPLOYMENT FOR A VERY LONG TIME NOW AND I WANT A JOB IMMEDIATELY. IT IS VERY ASHAME HAVING A BACHELORS DEGREE AND THERE IS NO JOBS AVAILABLE.
I AM VERY STRESSED OUT AND DISAPOINTED WITH THIS ECONOMY AND SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE SOON. MY RELATIONSHIP WITH MY KIDS FATHER IS ON THE ROCKS RIGHT NOW. HE WORKS ONLY AND HE WANTS ME GET A JOB . I JUST WISH I WOULD WORK IMMEDIATELY.
MY MAJOR IN COLLEGE WAS GRAPHIC DESIGN AND HAVING A BACHELORS DEGREE IN THAT FIELD MAKES ME FEEL THAT IT WAS A WASTE OF TIME GETTING THAT DEGREE. I AM EVEN LOOKING TO CHANGE MY CAREER INTO NURSING AND I HAVE TO GO TO SCHOOL TILL SEPTEMBER 2010 SINCE ENROLLMENT IS FULL THIS YEAR 2008. SHAME ON THE ECONOMY A ND I THINK IT IS UNFAIR THAT MORE PEOPLE WILL BE HOMELESS. PLEASE CAN SOMETHING BE DONE TO CHANGE THE MESS SITUATION AND MAKE IT PERFECT. BLOOMBERG HAS DISAPPOINTED ME ALSO. UNWEALTHY PEOPLE WHO ARE STILL WORKING, TOO MUCH TAXES HAVE TO COME OUT FROM THEIR CHECKS AND PEOPLE WORK SO HARD AND ARE STRUGGLING TO MAKE ENDS MEET. THEY TAKE MONEY OUT OF TAXES AND THIS COUNTRY IS STILL A MESS AND NO IMPROVEMENT HAS BEEN MADE ESPECIALLY IN NEW YORK.

I HOPE THAT I CAN GET EMPLOYMENT VERY SOON TO GET OUT OF WELFARE. I HATE BEING ON WELFARE AND I JUST WANT TO MAKE MONEY HAVING A BACHELORS DEGEE. I WANT TO GET ON MY FEET INSTEAD OF STRUGGLING. CAN SOMEONE HIRE ME IF YOU. CAN. I WILL DEFINATELY SEND MY RESUME AND COVER LETTER IF I GET AN OPPORTUNITY SOON. I HATE BEING UNEMPLOYED. I AM SEEKING MORE THAN 16.00-25.00/HR.

CONCERN MOM

How much would the post office save if they changed the mass mailing and pulp mail prices? How much of the work load would be reduced if the "garbage "mail was eliminated? I don't know about the rest of you, but I buy a lot online and as a result I'm on a million mailing lists and get hundreds of mail order catalogs each year. I can barely get my mail from the PO Box because it's usually filled with trash catalogs. The post office wants to help itself and the public, do something about the trash mail.

I admire our postal workers very much. And, our mail system is the envy of the world. However, I do not need daily delivery. A missed random day of the week, alternating around different neighborhoods, would seem one way to cut back on the hardships caused by today's economy on this most American service. Or we could all skip Saturdays, or Mondays....we could learn to work around that, couldn't we? Really?

I can't. I have a home based business and ship everything through the USPS. If I had to use UPS or FedEx my costs would skyrocket.
