I remember a few years back one priest was found having sex with a nun and growing marijuana. I guess there's still hope for the Catholic church as stories like this proves not all priests are gay pedophiles.

he is a good man without a doubt and does a lot of good for the community but he did violate the catholic church's policy. This only means that you don't have to be a priest and live like one to help others and be a good person.

This is pathetic! The Catholic Church for decades has swept under the carpet ILLEGAL sexual activities of priests such as molesting children or nuns, etc.

"Father Cutié made a promise of celibacy and all priests are expected to fulfill that promise with the help of God."

The true definition of celibacy is "umarried" it is the Catholic Church that has applied a different logic to the meaning "The view of the Roman Catholic Church is that celibacy is a reflection of life in Heaven, and a source of detachment from the material world, which aids in one's relationship with God. Catholic priests are called to be espoused to the Church itself, and espoused to God, without overwhelming, exclusive commitments interfering with the relationship."

I find the Catholic Church to be hugely hypocritical. While I am sorry that some scumbag photographer needed to make a few buck so badly that he would publicize this. But maybe this is this Priests calling to move on to what makes him happy! Serve God but in a different way where he can have a wife and family. I am Methodist and I love my Pastor he makes the church feel warm and comforting and he has a warm relationship with families, because he has one, and not just God's family.

I do not think he's done anything wrong to warrant asking for forgiveness. He already has it from GOD. The bureaucrats can kiss off, at least his actions where with another consenting adult not some poor kid instilled with the "fear of God" to let an adult hurt them.

When he entered the priesthood, he made his vow of celibacy. With the racy photos of him kissing and caressing a woman in the beach, he has broken his vow. He should face the consequences of his actions.

I'll throw it.

This kind of writing doesn't scare me.

Writing krap to scare the masses will scare
the masses, but not everyone.

So this man preached one thing and
changed his mind.

Wow.
The power of p_ssy is stronger than God's will.

What kind f?d up dogma casts aside this man?s good works and community involvement for something as menial and normal (human) as an embrace or kiss with a woman? Does this make ANY sense? Is there any sound reason or rationale behind such atrocious self-righteousness from, of all places, the Catholic church? I hope this man reconsiders his commitment to a church that would willfully abandon him over the slightest infraction, despite his years of dutiful service. I?m sure few wonder why religion is slowly losing it?s hideous grip on society. The day we?re free of such hateful dogma we?ll be better off. Religious nonsense has no place among civilized people.
