I just don't get why people have to disparage the fiancée. Gold digger? Can you update your stereotype data? (She is also a medical student).
It'd be something else if she WASN'T surprised. You don't look forward to marrying someone if you have any idea - or if his friends have any idea- that he's a murderer.
It's incomprehensible to a lot of people.
I don't believe that people who insist that THEY would've known better actually would.

Evil doesn't always announce itself with loud music.

I love the personal, vicious posts by azulene and others that attack the fiance by claiming that she is a "gold digger" who "who just wanted to latch onto a doctor". Very sexist statement indeed (and from a person I am assuming is a woman). I guess anyone involved with a doctor is out for money, a gold digger and looking for a "settlement". What a total moron you are. I guess because I married a lawyer I am the same (even though I make more money than my wife). These retarded people do not even know who the fiance is yet immediately attack her because she was shocked to find out her husband to be was leading a double life. I would personally be pretty shocked and in total denial if my wife was in jail on murder charges with every piece of evidence pointing against her. Have a heart honey.

It is interesting the way some fools jump to blame the first inanimate object that comes to mind when a crime is committed - rather than the criminal. They should be thankful he used Craigslist, it probably made him easier to catch--and Markoff would, no doubt, have been committing similar crimes if there were no such thing as Craigslist.

"His fiance wants to remind everyone that the wedding will go on as planned, and she is still registered at Macy's and Crate and Barrell."

Yup. Just like about 99.9% of the rest of the elected officials in Washington. If you're advocating a clean sweep of all of them, I'm behind you. Otherwise, stop being troll-bait.

People, wouldn't you expect someone's family to some support to this guy? I'm sure none of them can believe he did anything like this and that's where their comments are coming from.

And I doubt it has anything to do with him being of Russian descent. Generally to be able to claim a case Psycho-Russo(tm patent pending), you have to have lived there. Which is what causes the condition.

More likely she was a goldigger who just wanted to latch onto a doctor, any doctor and never worried to much about what he was really like. She probably figured she'd just stay with him long enough for him to make some money, then divorce him and get a big settlement.

I would guess we haven;t heard from her because she's busy pursuing another doctor to marry!

Just like her mom taught her, surely.

She's probably still planning to send out the invitations and marry the schmuck on the hopes of cashing in on a book and movie deal.....

People are trying to humiliate the fiancee because she attempted to stand by her man. I would hope that my loved ones would defend me before getting irrefutable evidence.
um, wow Azulene: "more likely she was a golddigger who wanted to latch on to a doctor.." Is that woman-hatred interfering with your personal goals? Just curious. I guess you can't muster sympathy for the loved ones of psychopaths cuz you're so busy explaining why you can't get a relationship. Lay off the haterade, you're drowning in it.

Markoff is of Russian Origin and as such psychological problems are inherent. I am sure there are many more crimes that will come to light as perpetrated by this individual. Many other will go unreported since the victims are reluctant because of their profession. The fiance should be requestioned since she may have acted in concert and is now trying to cause a diversion. Have they examined her computer records or cell phone calls?

Where's the jacket?? I'l bet there is GSR in the pocket. I don't think the Las Vegas hooker was the first, cops need to check there cold case files as this guy was simply way to calm and collected and in no hurry to leave. N.Y. and R.I. should also check cold cases. Looks like this guy really had it out for women, he thinks they're benethe him. Where's the baseball hat ?? I'd bet my last dollar that there's way more victums out there.

Why all the titles in different newspapers say "craigslist" case, and not markoff case as it should be called? Craigslist did not do those horrible things, it was that markoff. Craigslist is a community service, it is like formerly the plaza in a little village: oh interesting you have a lamp for sale and me i am offering dance classes.... it is to put people together, if that markoff had encountered these women in the streets, would it be the streets's fault??

I feel sorry for his fiance. She must be in a terrible state of shock as it sounds as though she had no idea who she was engaged to.

Nothing from his air-head fiance lately.

Maybe she tired of showing all what a twit she is.
