"My definition of a hero is a baloney sandwich. "

Mmmmmm. I like the American baloney. On American bread.

See, there is something good about America. : )

AS I SEE IT ------ Mike "Mainer Mike" Brown.

I love it when someone commits a heroic act, and then say they were just doing their jobs.

My definition of a hero is someone who risks their lives to save one or more people.

And that's exactly what Captain Richard Phillips did.

A hero isn't a baseball player who won the Cy Young Award, or someone who helped his team win several NBA championships.

I think the word 'hero', is often misused in todays society.

To the Captain, I say, don't be so modest. You truly are a hero!

I'm happy that they saved him and yea he gave himself to save others ant that what being humen is or what we should do help others but in this dam age no one really does thoses things anymore and thats sad so to see someone do something of this level is a REAL hero

good luck to his and his family and hopefully they can get there life back...

I thank God and the Navy Seals that this turned out to be a happy ending for the captain and his family.

ONE MORE TIME!!!

Stand, Navy, out to sea, Fight our battle cry;
We'll never change our course, So vicious foe steer shy-y-y-y.
Roll out the TNT, Anchors Aweigh.
Sail on to victory
And sink their bones to Davy Jones, hooray!

Anchors Aweigh, my boys, Anchors Aweigh.
Farewell to college joys, we sail at break of day-ay-ay-ay.
Through our last night on shore, drink to the foam,
Until we meet once more,
Here's wishing you a happy voyage home.

But I was very disappointed that my favorite show was interrupted today at 10:50am, over this man who thanked everyone but did NOT Thank our President of the United States, President Obama, ...why didn't he give it to the Commander in Chief

Because maybe HE KNOWS SOMETHING WE DON'T?????

Guess what HE WAS THERE. He knows better than anyone what happened.

When a man of his position quite conspicuously leaves out the POTUSA from his expression of gratitude, IT WAS LIKELY VERY INTENTIONAL and it was done for a VERY VERY GOOD REASON.

It remains to be seen what that reason is. Perhaps he will never say in public, and we will never know what Barack Obama did to this man to deserve such a public slap in the face.

But a man like Captain Phillips would not slap the president in the face without a very good reason.
