You are asking where in the Bible it divides into doctrines, which wasn't the topic of discussion.

So - explain how the Bible is not part of your belief system. If it is, you ARE in a religion, aka "organized belief system".

You're free to believe otherwise, or that the sky is really purple. It's your right to be wrong.

My belief is in Jesus Christ for the redemption of my sins. Jesus came to free us from the Law (religious doctrine) that was a covenant between Moses and God. With the Law we were slaves to legalism and self-reproach. With the New Covenant, Christ's blood is the atonement for our sins. I beleive you are confusing the "church" with religion. I agree that religion is based on a belief system of thoughts and ideas, however Christianity was founded on the resurection of Christ. One thought, one plan and one belief. My point of contention is that over the last 2000 years, people not God, have developed religion with all it's "do's and don'ts". If you truly believe in Christ's atonement for sin then you are free from the law..(religion)

that is because most modern liberals DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE TRUE MEANING of athiesm..they do not believe in religion just on the basis that it gives them a guilt trip everytime they go forth and do thier reckless acts.

That has got to be the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Number one, you need to learn how to spell "atheist" and number two, the vast majority of "liberals" are religious. I am fairly conservative, was a Republican for many years until they lost their minds, and I want to know what these "reckless acts" are that I am supposed to feel guilty about. I think I am missing out on some fun! My life is so boring that any thing reckless sounds pretty good. You need to quit judging people by groups.

There are two major parallels: military overextension and divisive religious teachings.

so, alcohol is a problem, so you want to give it protected status compared to a much milder drug?
