Woman Lost Arm After Botched Injection; $6.7 Million Award Upheld
- While I agree drug companies should be accountable, this just seems wrong. I have been given Phenergan many times and I guess I have been very lucky. There may be something more to this than just a person's reaction to the drug, I wonder if there have been others? What about the medical practitioner who administered the injection - they definitely should have known the risk and properly informed the patient.
I hope Wyeth looks into it to find out why this woman had such a severe problem develop.
I wish her well! - Reply to this comment
- The problem is that the FDA didn't do its job. That's what lawsuits are for.

- Alito, Roberts, and Scalia are judicial fossils who continue the Bush/GOP philosophy that anything a corporation does is A-OK, no matter how egregious the act, or how damaging to people.
There appears to be NOTHING that the GOP and these far right extremists would not allow a corporation (or the government) to do to American citizens. These supreme court throwbacks believe the government and corporations are always right. - Reply to this comment
- This is a good thing, drug makers need to realize the general public is not taking their garbage anymore without actually knowing what it is they are taking.
