Babe Ruth was buzzed on alcohol at least several times at the ballpark when he hit 700+ home runs! I shot a par 36 on the front nine holes once at an extremely difficult bayou golf course in the southeast Texas swamp, high on cocaine. Fact is, Babe Ruth hit over 700 home runs, and I scored par on the front nine once on a brutal golf course. None of you can ever take that away from either one of us.

"... remember seeing the great Sandy Koufax pitch in LA in 1966--His fastball AVERAGED 100 mph ..."

Interesting this - Sandy is still around - and is in fact, one of the investors swindled by Bernie Madoff. This was reported 3 days ago.

It''s Time for A-Rod to step up.Marion Jones finally did it, humiliating as it was. For God''s sake, be a MAN. As for Barry Bonds, he is a pumper and a rude, obnoxious jerk. For me Hank Aaron''s record still stands--there is a gentleman and sportsman. I remember seeing the great Sandy Koufax pitch in LA in 1966--His fastball AVERAGED 100 mph and his curve was unhitable. He broke every record there was and for less than 100k a year. Those were the last days of real baseball. Willie Mays, Don Drysdale, Juan Marichal, Maury Wills---God bless them all for being who they were and championing team spirit! They are sorely missed.

You know, those record stats you see, they''re achieved by using steroids. I say they''re fake, not genuine. Mark McGuire, Barry Bonds, Mike Phelps, Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Al Rodriguez,.... The athletes of yesteryear like Hank Aaron, Johnny Weismuller, Babe Ruth, Honus Wagner, Lou Thesz, Ed "Srangler" Lewis, Mickey Mantle, Lou Gehrig, Muhammad Ali,..... they didn''t have to use steroids to achieve their respective records. They just used their God-given talent and perfected it through hard practice and training.

IF you ask me, Hank Aaron''s record number of 755 home runs still stands in my book.

If everyone in Pro sports took steroids then they would all be equal again, their training being the only difference like it%u2019s supposed to be. I guess they would need to come up with a steroid, on steroids (if that%u2019s possible) to have an edge.

There was outrage and Phelps got slammed for taking a hit on a bong.

A-Rod gets exposed for using steroids to cheat and the outrage is that somebody let the information out.

Americans are so full of b@##s*^t no wonder everyone hates us.

Like Rupert Murdock said, WE''''RE NOT IN THE NEW BUSINESS. WE''''RE IN THE ENTERTAINMENT BUSINESS"

You are an idiot. What does this have to do with race or the Republicans u moron. McGwire took performance enhancement and he is a White man. If you don''t like Whites than u are just as racist as some uneducated hillbilly from Texas. Where else can u go in the world where everyone is given a fair chance at succeeding than the US, Canada, and Western Europe. Those three regions have a White majority that gives every race, religion, and ethnicity a chance to strive. If u want to go live in the Congo, Israel, or Sudan; go for it. Why do a shrinking population of American hillbillies make people such as yourself not see the broader aspect of things. I have seen Blacks and Latinos say some pretty horrible stuff, but that''s just a few idiots. Like Yourself!

incog-nito: truly. but you must admit it''''s a good gig if you can get it.

Agreed. One heck of a gig. The stadium where I live is so big that even halfway up you can barely pick out the player on the field. I can''t imagine people paying good money to go see something that most cannot actually see without a good set of binoculars.

Baseball - the game of cheats, liars and drugged out players. Will he be suspended or thrown out of the game? No! Big money stands behind the game and the league is too weak to do anything.

Total BS, I doubt there is a person in america that hasn''''t ingested steroids at one time or another, It is in many over the counter pain relievers.

Posted by ToolMangler at 10:12 PM : Feb 07, 2009

There are not steroids in OTC pain relievers. You are mistaken.

typical loser who needs a crutch to do well.
This is truly unsportsmanship at its finest.

I hope he gets booted of the team and loses each and every endorsement deal he has. He is unfit to play or be any sort of a role model for our youth.

Maybe Madonna can support his sorry a $ $.
