[You''''re right. The ambassadors are living in the Bronx and paying for their project-apartments out of their own pockets. The U.S. taxpayers aren''''t subsidizing any of their expenses.]

so once again you spew some ridiculous babble about something you know nothing about ... and have nothing to back it up?

no links about amabasadors ... nothing about where they live ... nothing about how much they pay ... nothing about who pays their way.

so basically ... you have nothing, right?

[NYC is the symbol of greed in America. Get out while you can or they''''ll bleed you dry! All it would take is a 10-15% vacancy rate to bust most landlords...]

new york city is the symbol of success and dominance that america represents to the rest of the world ... and why those that don''t like us ... those who believe that our success and dominance is a threat to their world view (ie religion) ... use it as their target against america.

Bloomberg is a Republican mayor of New York, but he is a moderate democrat based on the way he has governed. That aside, the rents reflect the market and for years the financial industry was doing well so of course New York being the home of Wall Street would have a high cost of living. Instead of giving us red meat journalism meant to start class warfare, why doesn''t CBS educate the ignoramuses in America about the economics of pricing for elastic/inelastic demand???

Yea, but it''s a classic. Kinda like "It''s A Wonderful Life" It''s on every year & people usually tune in for nostalgic reasons.

Maybe we can sell New York to the Chinese....

Posted by timbuckthree at 03:52 PM : Feb 06, 2009

Considering how much money we''''re in dept to China for, that sale may have already taken place.
Posted by Questionnews at 03:54 PM

Well then, I hope we have a no refund policy....

Posted by timbuckthree at 04:00 PM : Feb 06, 2009

Even if they did have a refund policy, I would still demand that they keep the Yankees.
