The 1998 group sounds like it was a family squabble that got embarassingly out of hand. I can''t imagine why there would be any ''tension'' in the family. 10 years later the parents are still successfully together, ''working" and caring for their children

Just for the record...I don''t know of ANY fertility couples that can SPECIFY the number of babies they want to carry. (Besides that who in the HECK would say they want to risk their life and carry 8 babies at one time voluntarily...Hello....). Quite often these couples are considered LUCKY if they can conceive ONE.

FYI...IF you read the article (which it''s quite obvious that many have NOT)...there is nothing that states that any embryos were planted...only that "fertility treatments" were used (this usually means drug treatment). IF embryos are actually implanted I doubt doctors ever plant more than 3 viable embryos at a time.

The article also states NOTHING about this couple being on welfare or needing it. This is probably only the second time in the world that this has happened where the babies successfully survived.

I second the eye rolling motion.

Can we simply tell them...Good luck

That reminds me of a joke regarding Bush Sr.''s beliefs regarding abortion and the death penalty. It called him the ultimate fisherman: throw ''em back when they''re little, kill ''em when they''re bigger.

Republican = ZERO FOR UNABORTED, INNOCENT CHILDREN.

100% FOR SAID CHILD IF HE/SHE GROWS UP AND COMMITS A CRIME.

WRONG PRIORITIES.
WRONG UNDERSTANDING OF THE WORD INVESTMENT.

But, the prison corporation machine has brainwashed too many.

8 children, created by fertility drugs, not by natural processes. Kind of vulgar if you ask me. And unless those parents are independently wealthy I want to know how much of my tax money is going to go to support these kids and their overindulgent parents.

Because of my browser (I think) I cannot open the link you posted. However, looking at the date in the link, isn''t that article about the 1998 Houston birth?

How about posting on topic instead of raving about religion and abortion? This is one of those moments when I need to be able to post that little emoticon rolling its eyes.
