In most cases, I would agree with you. In his case, he needs to be held accountable for his actions. What if the plane landed on some homes and killed people? What an a*s.

Small Aircraft windshields are plexiglass, I was an airplane mechanic for a while. They do not ''implode'' ever, only crack or scratch. When they crack you can even ''sew'' the pieces together with wire and make an airworthy repair. This guy needs to quit lying. Cooperate with investigators, beg for mercy, and gain at least a little respect back for that.
