President-Elect Expected To Order Shut Down Of U.S. Military Prison In First Week On The Job
- "Hey WhiteBoyBrian, hows about you extract the context from the question of yours you claim I never answered????" Posted by I_H_Libturds
The question you never answered was why you were not willing to walk the same path as you claim Jesus walked, when you said he allowed two thieves to die with him on the cross. The context was that if you believe that Iraqis have committed an act worthy of Bush''s genocide, without evidence to support such, then how do you claim to be a Christian?
You still have yet to answer, and I really don''t see how it ties into what you quote Kerry as saying about interconnectivity.
Your turn. - Reply to this comment

The Human rights convention, to which the US is a signatory, says this;
"Each state is obliged to provide training to law enforcement and military on torture prevention, keep its interrogation methods under review, and promptly investigate any allegations that its officials have committed torture in the course of their official duties. It must ensure that individuals who allege that someone has committed torture against them are permitted to make and official complaint and have it investigated, and, if the complaint is proven, receive compensation, including full medical treatment and payments to survivors if the victim dies as a result of torture. It forbids states to admit into evidence during a trial any confession or statement made during or as a result of torture. It also forbids activities which do not rise to the level of torture, but which constitute cruel or degrading treatment."
So if they do wind up receiving compensation that is simply in accordance with the law.
You do know what law is, right? - Reply to this comment
- i think that next time around all the candidates should never be seen, but only heard during debates, with voicechanging technology used so you don''t know who is who until the end of the debate, vote for candidate A or B and their policy. this way nobody will not vote just because the skin color. that way racism will not weigh in on the decision? just a random brain *** i had.

Looked to me like he was talking more about Texas, more than he was about the rest of America, but leaving aside the references to posteriors, you gotta admit, since we are torturing, kidnapping, invading, and otherwise violating our own, as well as international laws, then he does have a point that is hard to argue with, as you pay such and worse disrespect to other countries that haven''t even attacked us. - Reply to this comment

- Where does Obama plan to put the terrorists that are currently at Gitmo? Hopefully he is planning his speach and has picked someone to blame when one of them sets off a bomb in Times Square.

A noble sentiment, but we both know that those countries are not part of the US, they enjoy no rights of citizenship, and are poor precisely because the US and Europe found it cheaper to bribe a few officials to look away, while they went in and basically took everything from the inhabitants, most of whom were escapees from slave ships.
The US cares nothing for these people, and so the idea of "protecting" them is funny, they actually are better off working with Latin America, than with Anglo America. - Reply to this comment

Ah, its now clear. You are NOT an American. You are from either the persian region or Afghanistan/Pakistan region. You''re one of our enemies, a Taliban.

- brianbwb, The reason the US needs a base in the Carribean is that they are Americans and they are patriotic to America. They deserve protection. They are poor and don''t have many resources. They could do more farming and fishing but they don''t have the aptitude for that. Their tourist business had to be shut down due to crime. Also there is a large oil refinery on the island that could be vulnerable. Chavez owns a minor interest in the refinery but he could be discouraged from further encroachment by a large US military presence.

- "We invaded for no reason? Who was going to stop Hussein''''s genocide of the Kurds? Iran?..."
That is funny, the US has aided the Turks in their genocide of the same Kurds, you must have slept through that one.
"Who was going to stop Hussein''''s oppression of his own countrymen? Jordan?"
Another good one, who is kidnapping, killing, and torturing them now?
"Mr. Hussein''''s intentions were clear when the terrorists destroyed the twin towers, attempted to destroy the Pentagon and the fourth plane that citizen heroes thwarted. He went on the air and voiced his support for Al Qaeda."
You are really on today, Saddam accused the US of using Al Qaeda, his sworn enemy, to blow up the WTC, as an excuse to invade Arab countries, and was among the first to openly state that which becomes more apparent every day.

So, we take POWs and just return them to their posts so they can continue in their opposition of us? They are prisoners of war. They will be released in due time, if they''re not determined to be criminals. The military does work behind the scenes that the public does not have the need to know. It is not criminal, it is confidential and guarded so as to not harm the mission.
You pacies just need to be patient and allow the military to do its job. - Reply to this comment

A valid question, and one which these last remaining Bush supporters cannot answer, that is why insult has replaced what little logic they were capable of.
The answer actually is most likely that there is no evidence, because the entire miasma was cooked up by the Bush klan. They claim secrecy, because the truth is that they have no cause for their actions, and think that the illusion of aristocracy surrounding high level politicians should deter anyone from questioning them. - Reply to this comment

In fact, you are welcome to show where international kidnapping, and indefinite imprisonment without trial are legalized by the constitution.
While you are at it, you are also welcome to show how lying to congress in order to obtain authorization to commit military hostilities is constitutionally legal.
Well? - Reply to this comment
