It only takes common sense to conclude that the guy who jumps up and rams into 2 officers, then kicks around at the officers while they try to subdue him on the floor is a thug.

I''ve been detained many many times by cops, because I''m a habitual speeder. Am I polite and accomodating with them when they stop me. Sometimes I get a ticket, sometimes a warning. I''ve had my car searched for drugs on two occasions, even though I have absolutely nothing to do with drugs. Do I feel "violated" or that "the man" is out to get me? NO! They are doing their job. And every time, all I get at worst is a $200 fine for speeding.

A thug on the other hand will lash out on instinct. A thug does NOT have the self control to behave like a civilized human being no matter what the circumstances. And, in the end, the thug gets what he deserves...prison or death.

I agree.

That''s exactly what I saw in the video.

But, some will always want more information.

If the shoe had been on the other foot and all things equal but the police officer was shot on his back, somebody would be sitting in jail today.

And, I did watch the video. He was on his back when it happened. HOW does that support shooting him? And, what do you think the guys were gonna do after that happened? Just sit there?

And, people who were there all said that he was trying to diffuse the situation.

Have you ever been to a white Appalachian area and see how bad it looks? I assume these people are poor. You are confusing poverty with race. If you went to an upper middle class black neighborhood, you wouldn''t see any difference between it and an upper middle class white neighborhood.

Please watch the video. Watch it and tell me what you see. Do you see 4 nice boys being civilized, or do you see a group of thugs who continually mouth off, resist arrest, and assault the officers.

I don''t think the kid deserved to die, but man he did everything he could to provoke the situation.

I am so tired of the black community circling their wagons around thugs. You don''t hear much outrage about how innocent kids (especially black children)are slaughtered in the streets by black street gangs. No sir, their wrath is reserved for the "bad white cop" who shot poor innocent Johnny for no reason.

I''m not saying there aren''t racist cops, and that some cops aren''t just trigger-happy a-holes (like this guy). But I am just tired of the "hurray for the thugs" parade that the black community has devolved into.

Well all I can go by is what I experienced first hand.

The cemetery where my ancestors are all buried is now, after being founded in the late 1780''s, is located in an all black neighborhood in a large city. For over two hundred years it was a beautiful place to visit with past loved ones. In just the past 20 years, after the blacks moved in, Every tombstone for acres, including my mom and dads, are pushed over. The mausoleums are in shambles, graffiti sprayed every where. The gates, fence is long gone, sold for scrap to get drugs I was told by the caretakers. I resent what happened there clearly by your black brothers. Point is--- Did I get a gun go out and riot, burn, loot?? The answer is no. I figure time is on the poor souls buried there side.

i live in ohio. there is a racist news blackout on this story. whenever something like this happens to a black person the news is contained localy. this is to isolate the situation as well as making it difficult to unite blacks across the country. tv and newspaper news are racist by design. looik at any newscast the first thing you see is a black perp walk. look at 24 hour msnbc or fox news. you will be hard pressed to see anything on this story. one thing witey is afraid of is BLACKS UNITING. he will go to any length to keep us from uniting. it is time for all black politions, sports figures, actors, oprah, tiger, lebron, denzell and obama to get off your ***** and get to the front of the class on this issue. you are where you are because of the blood and misery of others before you. LEED THE FIGHT.

He should be arrested and treated like anyone else who shoots somebody in the back. As someone else said, having a gun and a badge does not make you a good police officer.

It is true, there is racism in America. No one can rightfully argue otherwise. It is true and sad that young men lose their lives because of the color of their skin. It is also true that our law enforcement officers are people and make really dumb decisions based on this same bias.

What do we do? Who knows, it seems enough time should have gone by that this would be behind us. We need leaders that can truly see through the color lines and see us all as people and then maybe we have a chance.

I do not see color, neither does my family. But, my kids ask my why these things happen and I do not have an answer. I do not want to simply say, because of race, but that seems to be the real answer. So sad.
