- This guy adds a little "gravitas" to the old gambler''s rule: "Never bet on anything that can talk."
But I still have a hard time believing he did it all by himself... I hope they keep diggin''. - Reply to this comment
- You have to admit it: he got style! He didn''t just run headlong into a lamppost, oh no! He saw the lamppost, steadied himself, put his head down and SMASHED!!! into the lamppost. I like my criminals dumb, it makes them easier to catch...
A little advise: if you one day find a check in the mail you don''t know about better find out from who it was and what it was for or you might find yourself shareing a cell with Bernies buddies...
PS: Wouldn''t that be a great way to kill the GOP? Install a Ponzi scheme, then mail out checks to every GOP pol in the House and Senate. Greedy as they are they might cash them, and then you hand yourself over... - Reply to this comment
- He should at the least be put in long enough so he cant enjoy any of the money he put away in the Swiss Banks when he gets out.

- If it had been you or me who had embezzled $50B of other people''s money; we''d be in jail....not hanging out under guard in our 5th Avenue apartment....this just doesn''t make any sense.

- Commendable that the Federal Government can crack down on SOMEONE as a culpable party inasmuchas there are no Kenneth Lays out there willing to DIE during the appeal of their ENRON convictions so as to have the original case overturned and their estate UNTOUCHED....President Bush did not have to put himself out to pardon Kenneth Lay.....wonder if Madoff supported Bush like Kenneth Lay did with a corporate jet and trips?

- When the oil companies and the banks rip us off and destroy America you all don''t say a word and want to throw the exec''s in jail yet this guy you want to throw to the wolves. While so do I we should be adding all of the above and then some.

- This man is the lowest of the low, and it almost seems like some folks in authority are letting him continue to hide assets that rightfully belong to others.
Lock em all up. - Reply to this comment
- If I was running a game of 3 Card Monty on Canal St and took somebody off for $500.00 I would be sitting in Rikers.
Why is this guy not in jail? - Reply to this comment

- I think Madoff''s buddies in the NY State Justice Department are trying to give him a chance to get his chartered jet to Argentina arranged.

- If his wife and family are helping him ship the assets... they need to be locked up now!
Maybe the new administration will lock them up... the republicans don''t seem to want too... maybe Madoff owns them. - Reply to this comment
- Let Cheney waterboard him.
Let Craig have a bite of his asset
Let Hamas use him for target practice
Let him live in the aids wing at Levenworth
He hasn''t said that he didn''t mean to do it! - Reply to this comment
- Are they going to arrest his family or what? It seems quite obvious he is hiding all his assets with them, and that they were going along with the scam. Grab the whole family and lock them up.

- What pisses me off the most is that every picture of this piece of slime, shows him with a smirk. I''d love 5 minutes alone with him to wipe that off his face forever.
