Then Clinton botched things up, so by the time Dubya took office, all the Reagan prosperity was gone.

I hope you planned well, because social security is NOT going to take care of you, even when you''''re lonely and old...wakey! Wakey!

My future is secure. I also managed to realize there is more to life than money. I spend time with those "welfare" people you judge so harshly. I volunteer every year to do taxes for low income and elderly people. I raised my kids to understand that people are more than the balance of their bank accounts. It is sad that you cannot see past that.

My children are grown and doing super well...and so am I. I never was dumb enough to think that I''''d be able to live just off of social security and prepared for it. It''''s called foresight and planning.

If they were raised with your outlook you will be a lonely old lady. Your children will see you as you see others now and will have little or no use for you. I see it when I volunteer all the time. Elderly parents whose children moved on to bigger and better and forgot they had parents.

Yeah and your grandchildren will be paying off the national debt that was accrued during that time, as well that accrued under the last republican one...during which time I''''ve enjoyed great prosperity...

Hope my grandchildren makes LOTS of money!

You actually have or plan to have children with the mentality you have? Those poor kids. I feel for them.

I think we are after all, all Americans and hope and pray something can turn this mess around. It doesn''t matter anymore, Bush and Cheney, and the Republican Congress spent our money like drinking a glass of water after a long walk in the desert. Now Mitch McConnell wants to be thrifty. He wants to keep saying NO to everything, he didn''t learn a *** thing from this election. America will not stand for that rhetoric any more you will see

And then 44 years later not ONE PERSON is better off for socialist programs!

Posted by TexHillGirl at 07:29 PM : Jan 07, 2009

Nobody, not one single person, got a pell grant or other funding graduated from college and is paying more in taxes and benefiting society -- quite an assertion. Just another clear and blatant lie --

Posted by TexHillGirl at 07:27 PM : Jan 07, 2009

Apparently he did not teach you the difference between the truth and a lie as you have admitted to being the liar doing the figuring. You already admitted your 44 trillion dollar figure was not real spending -- Furthermore you claim benefits people pay into are part of your 44 trillion dollars. Social Security is not part of the War on Poverty for anyone except you that worked so hard to manufacture a lie you have been spamming for a month.

You see, DebinOK, when you read up, you realize that they don''''t include Headstart (basically a babysitting program) and they don''''t include social security which has become an entitlement program, rather than social security...president''''s keep borrowing from social security...it''''s now a drain on government spending rather than a retirement program...

They don''''t include school lunch programs...

You see DebinOk, when you read up sometime, you might get a real picture of spending...

So you think if you are too young to work or too old to work then you have no right to expect food, clothing or shelter? That suggests that if you cannot provide for yourself then you should cease to exist so you are no longer a burden to society.

That "black hole of yours" is the US Treasury the unused money is then subject to another budget process and release by Congress for the next year. The real black hole is where Bush and Paulson are "secretly in violation of reporting requirements in the statute" disbursing 350 billion dollars without the required reporting and disclosures. Even worse according to the first TARP IG report with a lack of accountability.

That is it Mishal128 they just took care of there friends so fast before anyone knew what hit them. they were suppose to account for every dime and Golden Sachs and AIG will be just fine, the crooks,

Posted by starleo14672 at 07:20 PM : Jan 07, 2009

I believe the Secretary of the Interior (head ofthe Department that had parties with those the were supposed to be regulating) paid about $250,000, (if I remember what I heard) to have his offices private bathroom remodeled including the addition of a refrigerator and a freezer. Now that is the wasteful spending -- the "black holes" -- we will be hearing more about after Jan 20th.

Most notably, they receive benefits from Social Security, Medicare, and the public school system.

So you have a problem educating our children and caring for the elderly who worked and payed into Social Security and Medicare for years before they retired. You consider this "welfare", Man I feel for those retirees who thought they were paying into their future retirement.

Why are you people still responding to trolls? Particulary anyone with ''''tex'''' in their cover name. They have no life. They are either being paid or GOP welfare collecters.
