Oh, Please. These people are disgusting. They used this child to get money from the IRS for three years after he "ran away". Didn''t report him missing EVER. A tip to a hotline started the investigation. These people are guilty of several things right now. Only time will tell if that includes murder.

Maybe so, but she put on an excellent front for my friend who is in the social work biz and a resident in the Derby area. She had been to the Hermanns house many many times. Always appropriate, always ready with a hug hello.

This family was a well known foster family for many years, at one time they had 8 or 9 kids at their house, foster and biological. I don''t know for how long. I''m told by someone who knew her well, you would never guess this mother was an alleged abuser. very active in the community. very nice. You never know about people, abusers usually do pick out one child to abuse and the rest are spared.

Relatives have said this child was abused by his adoptive mother until he disappeared 10 years ago. Adoptive brother is ratting out his mother about the abuse he saw her do to Adam. Another relative saw him chained to the bathtub faucet with a pillow and blanket at Christmas time in 1999. very sad

Have we entered the Dark Ages--people casually disposing of unwanted children. I don''t know...if it were me, I''d sooner be known as a deadbeat who returned the child to the agency or foster care, rather than be known as a child killer. The problem is, the people who commit these crimes don''t seem to care WHAT they''re known as--that''s the strangest part. They''re like the cons on Law and Order who tell the d.a., "I could to 20 sitting down." Sad.
