We are so very shocked at the very occurrence of this crime. We should be just as shocked that, rather than take this opportunity to explain a GREATER reality to the Children, we take such pains to ensure that the integrity of their current perception of the Christmas season remains intact.
Oh, well... I suppose it''s no harm (and not dishonest) to tell them that it wasn''t REALLY Santa Clause, just someone DRESSED UP like Santa Clause.
God forbid that anyone take the opportunity to point out to them that "Santa Clause" is how modern society treats that which began with actual people like Saint Nicholas and, last but not least, a child born in Bethlehem. - Reply to this comment
- My heart goes out to this family. What a terrible way to go. With that being said, what do you hippies (California liberals) think about guns now? All your laws regarding "high powered ammunition" (as if there is low powered ammunition) and banning of this gun and that gun; useless. This guy built a flame thrower out of a compressor and an air tank. Now we should outlaw compressed air containers and refrigerators, right? After all, that would prevent people from building flame throwers for the purpose of torching their in-laws. If one person in that house had access to a firearm this would have been all over in a moment. By the way, I know where your feeble mind is headed. Criminals will always have guns. Always. There isn''t a law you can pass that will prevent criminals from committing crimes. One armed individual could have stopped this man. Think about that.

This sick M''r F''r gets to take out an entire family and we''ve celebritized him and will allow him to be known by "Santa Slayer"?? ***? - It is incomprehensible the horrific nightmare that these poor people endured. What will forever haunt me is the story of the sweet 8 year old girl, smiling when opening the door to Santa, only to be shot in the face. How no one saw this coming is an amazing testament to just how deep someone''s inner turmoil can be concealed until its unleashing. Horrifying.
