endurorob, The restaurant owner has the ability to decide unless the loval government decides differently. The smokers ability to smoke ends at the tip of my nose

Local governments decide where smoking is or isn''t allowed and in most resaurants throghout this country smoking isn''t allowed in restaurants. As a matter of fact new yor sity has passed and ordinance that will eventually closing down cigar and huka bars, establishments that exist for no other reason than to provide people a place to smoke, how ridiculous is that?

In 2002 alone, lighted tobacco products caused an estimated 14,450 residential fires, 520 deaths, 1,330 injuries, and $371 million in residential property damage.'''' U.S. Fire Administration. 2005

Obviously the turkey fryer was and exageration but according to your own source, in 2006 2.1% of fires were caused by smoking, 26.4% caused by cooking, which happens to be the highest of any category (not sure how many turkey friars were involved).

endurorob, The leading cause of obesity is our fast food society where people no longer have time to cook at home and sit down to a family meal. Over eating and eating the wrong things are the top reasons for obesity!

endurorob, Idiot, I never claimed going to a restaurant is a right. Every one''''s health and fir insurance is raised by the risks of smoking being spread over all of the insured. Certainly you won''''t pay as much if you don''''t smoke, but the risk is spread out over all of the insured.

Since we have sunk to name calling O.K. Jerk Off. My mistake on interperting you said going to a restaurant is a right. But do you think your ability to go to a reataurant trumps the smokers ability to have a cig. DOn''t you think itr should be left up to the restuarant owner to determine who''s business he wants?
